THE ROLE
We are looking for a Health & Safety and Environmental Manager to lead our safety initiatives and ensure compliance with current standards and regulations. Reporting to Plant Manager, you will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies to strengthen the safety culture at our fiber mill in De Pere.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Health & Safety and Environmental Manager will report to Plant Manager to ensure compliance and promote a strong safety culture within our production facility.
More specifically, you will:
Contribute to the development and implementation of the health and safety strategy for the De Pere mill, aligned with Sustana's objectives.
Overview the water treatment processes and site permits.
Develop, implement, and oversee safety policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with local and federal regulations, including OSHA and other applicable standards.
Be responsible for waste byproducts.
Work closely with the team to integrate safety into daily operations.

QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
5 to 7 years of experience in health and safety management, preferably in an industrial environment.
Familiar with DNR regulations.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Strong knowledge of applicable regulations (OSHA and others).
Strong leadership skills with the ability to foster a culture of safety.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
