Individual will also inspect workspaces to ensure they are up to safety standards, as well as provide safety orientation and on-going training. TYPICAL JOB DUTIES: Assists in the development and implementation of environmental, health and safety programs, policies, procedures and provide training to all employees on compliance requirements. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental science, or related field required. Certified Safety Professional status preferred. 0-5 years experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience . A background in implementing behavioral-based safety techniques preferred. This position requires 20% - 30% day travel to our manufacturing locations in Wisconsin. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure all policies, procedures, and safety rules are enforced. Responsible for OSHA compliance, workplace safety and pro-active employee protection programs. Supports all facilities and ensure corporate standards and expectations are followed. Conduct safety audits and develop sound recommendations for corrections by working collaboratively with manufacturing management and maintenance staff as needed. Participates in safety networks and communicates upcoming safety and health changes as appropriate to the management team. Lead safety communications during the All-Employee Meetings Work closely with P&C insurance adjustors, fire protection inspection programs, and local fire departments. Keep safety data and metrics updated globally (safety data management) analyze and identify opportunities for improvement. Oversee CI actions in Safety, including but not limited to: Updating the Global Safety A3 and ensuring that site A3 actions are aligned; Updating the safety slide of the Quarterly Report; Identify systemic issues and follow up actions; Following the 4-Step CI Process; Organize and share best practices; Lead the CI's safety initiatives; Ensure that CI routines are used to identify and act on safety opportunities with a sense of urgency.
