Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks. Maintain a service van and its inventory. Process paperwork after completion of each job. Minimum Qualifications Less than 2 years related experience High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks. Preferred Qualifications Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics. Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills. Technical degree, previous lift truck repair, welding experience, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferred. Position Summary Under the supervision of department leadership, the Facilities Technician II role is responsible for the general maintenance of Versiti equipment, building and grounds. Thoroughly cleans up after the completion of work, leaving the area tidy and orderly. * Performs maintenance and repair of building equipment and grounds in a safe, workmanlike manner. * Develops and maintains accurate and complete maintenance logs, calendars, schedules and any other administrative tools utilized by the department. * Actively participates in improving building and equipment efficiencies by continuously refining practices and procedures and coordinating schedules of work for outside contractors/vendors. * Ability to transition into a project manager role acting as the subject matter expert for small and large-scale projects. Includes providing direction for contractors, ensuring that maintenance schedules are updated and followed appropriately and that the project is completed on time and on budget. * When required this position should be able to backfill for any Technician I responsibilities/duties. * Required to participate in the on-call system to ensure facilities assistance is available twenty-four hours/day, seven days/week to address and resolve any urgent facilities problems.
