Overview
We are seeking a Creative Social Media Coordinator to support and execute our social media presence with a strong emphasis on creative execution/development, content execution, social management and customer service.
This role goes beyond scheduling and publishing. The ideal candidate is a hands-on creative thinker who enjoys working directly with visual assets, refining content, and managing the social media process end-to-end - from creative execution to scheduling, social management and community interaction.
In addition to social media, this role will also support customer service and community engagement across digital platforms, requiring adaptability, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Creative Execution
Support the end-to-end execution of social media content across platforms
Transform existing photos and videos into polished, engaging social assets - thinking past, just posting a picture and a caption...
Image editing, layout design, text overlays, and basic video editing
Combine photo and video assets creatively when appropriate
Design and refine social creative using tools such as Photoshop, Canva, or similar
Build and manage content calendars in alignment with brand and marketing goals
Schedule and publish social content while ensuring consistency in tone, quality, and visual identity
Designing and scheduling weekly email campaigns using Klaviyo or Mailchimp.
Serve as a key contributor to the creative strategy and execution of social media design/creative content

Job Description
- Maintain social media accounts for the Aparecio Foundation.
- Promote the mission of the Aparecio Foundation through social media.
- Develop and design marketing strategies for the foundation.
- Coordinate with other volunteers in designing social media accounts to benefit the foundation.
- Analyze the effectiveness of social media accounts.
- Post meaningful content for the foundation's social media accounts.
- Engage followers using creativity to keep followers up to date on the foundation.
- Report social media effectiveness to leaders of the Aparecio Foundation.
- Research marketing strategies using social media and implement the strategies for the needs of the foundation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications or a related field.
- Experience in using social media in a professional context.
- Ability to work autonomously and with a team.
- Ability to maintain and keep the foundation's social media accounts up to date and engaging.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Passion for women's education and economic opportunities.

Responsibilities
The wordsmith. The hashtag creator. Copywriters are the cunning linguists who write what you read, hear, and see. Also, the art director's partner in crime-professionally speaking, that is.
The Day-to-Day: Copywriters are responsible for writing copy on a variety of mediums; social media, blog posts, newsletters, brochures, product packaging, email marketing campaigns, etc. Prior to copywriting for a client, it is expected that copywriters research their subject matter, follow AP guidelines when writing copy, and develop their own tone of voice. Copy revisions are also a part of the copywriting process, so staying close to email/communication updates from their clients is crucial.

* A college junior, senior, or recent graduate (up to six months post-graduation)

Compensation Range: $20/hr. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
