**What you will do:**
+ Operates high temperature hot water system, maintaining proper output temperature relative to the outside temperature for the safety and comfort of patients, visitors and staff of the hospital.
+ Following specific instructions operates high temperature hot water system on gas or oil, maintains an hourly log and reports malfunctions or calls contract service company, when necessary.
+ Continually monitors smoke recorder when operating on oil and cleans smoke monitor lenses as necessary.
+ Maintains a chemical testing log on the hot water and steam generator and chilled water systems. Makes adjustments as necessary to keep treatment at proper levels and to keep equipment from corroding.
+ Monitors chiller operations making adjustments as necessary; performs and records hourly readings, making adjustments as necessary to maintain a comfort level in the hospital. Reports any malfunctions.
+ Monitors operation of cooling towers, observing for algae in summer or ice in winter. Backwashes cooling tower filters as necessary.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

Must have a basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

Position Summary
As an ED Tech, you will provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, assisting medical providers and licensed nurses in delivering high-quality, compassionate care. This role is vital in supporting the fast-paced environment of a Level 1 Trauma Center.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with patient hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and elimination needs
* Support admission, discharge, and transfer processes
* Perform phlebotomy and EKGs (if certified)
* Maintain a safe and clean environment
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff
* Stock supplies and ensure equipment readiness
* Attend dysrhythmia training and pass required assessments
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED required
* EMT-B, Medical Assistant, or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred
* Acute care experience in an ED setting preferred
* Current AHA BLS CPR Certification required
* Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
* Must pass background check and drug screening

+ This critical role performs various duties related to patient assistance and experience, patient transportation and the cleaning and stocking of the Emergency Department.
+ Responsible for constant bedside observation of patients
+ Accurate reporting of all observations made on patients.
+ Meets/greets patients/families/visitors in a pleasant manner assisting them with comfort needs throughout their hospital stay.
+ Able to show compassion for the human spirit and mind, advocacy and transparent communication with patients and families.
+ Other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager
**_Minimum Qualifications_**
+ Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma/GED.
+ Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.
+ CPR/ Basic Life Support certification required.

Minimal Qualifications:
