**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Lead with a safety mindset that ensures that every US Foods associate remains injury free, always. Champion safety procedures, processes and training to create and maintain a safety-first culture in the warehouse.
- Oversee and develop warehouse associates through one-on-one coaching, training on policy and procedures, assisting in problem resolution when required, and leading by example. Discuss associate performance with Sr. Warehouse Managers and create plans to address gaps.
- Create a cohesive organization by keeping lines of communication open and directing workforce to ensure efficient workflow.
- Direct and supervise the work and productivity of associates within the warehouse department. Drive associate engagement and retention, and create a culture that embodies US Foods values.
- Participate in building high-performing teams by interviewing and hiring warehouse personnel, in conjunction with Sr. Warehouse Managers. Review performance, coach on productivity and safety targets, and deliver disciplinary action.
- Lead and direct associates to achieve accurate orders that are then staged and loaded on the trucks. Oversee the preparation of the warehouse for shipping or receiving on the next shift.
- Monitor operational information, such as "mis-picks" and productivity reports, to ensure the entire shift meets rates and follows preferred methods. Take action through coaching and counseling to correct behaviors.
- On day shift, designate dock locations for inbound carriers. Ensure product is stocked in appropriate location in accordance with food safety and FIFO processes & procedures. Monitor replenishment activity to ensure stock is available for the shipping shift and to minimize the potential for "shorts". Oversee will call.
- Maintain physical condition and safety of warehouse and equipment, including preparing work orders for repairs and requisitions for equipment.
- Work with operations management team to identify sources of inventory shrink and assist in development of an action plan. Analyze the current operations and make recommendations to improve on expense and cost control.
- Regularly inspect facility for safety hazards and either resolve them or report them to the safety manager as appropriate. Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse and its equipment.
- Ensure Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and FSQA requirements are followed.
- Effectively schedule working shifts by leveraging appropriate planning tools (i.e., Microsoft Excel)
- Other duties assigned by manager.
**SUPERVISION:**
- Direct: Union and/or non-union warehouse on-floor associates (Loaders, Selectors, Receivers, Forklift drivers, etc.)
**RELATIONSHIPS**
- Internal: Warehouse leaders and coworkers; Internal customers across departments (e.g., Sales)
- External: N/A
**WORK ENVIRONMENT**
- The work takes place in normal warehouse environments as well as in cooler and freezer areas where temperatures may be as low as -5 degrees.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
Related Experience/Requirements:
- Minimum of three years of experience in warehouse distribution required.
- Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce required.
**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:**
- Broad knowledge of warehouse operations, methods and procedures.
- Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.
- Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HACCP and other regulatory requirements.
- Ability to interpret financial and operational data.
- Basic computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office).
**Travel:**
-10% travel required, typically for mandatory meetings and/or training.
**Education/Training:**
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.

As a part of the Operations and Sales Center Team, the Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Warehouse, Equipment Service and Fleet areas of the Sales Center. Operate a forklift.

General housekeeping and upkeep of working area to include; sweeping, shoveling, vacuum, compressed air, and sanitation.
Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed.

SUMMARY
The Operations Manager for Transportation is an integral member of the Outpost Management team, working alongside the Operations Manager for Front Desk, the Operations Manager for Retail, the Operations Manager for Activities, and the Operations Manager for Community Engagement & Sustainability. Together, the Outpost Managers operate as a unified leadership team-each fully capable of addressing guest needs and ensuring seamless service without deferring to another department, covering all areas of Front Desk, Retail, and Activities. This shared responsibility creates an environment where all Outpost employees are empowered to step in, assist guests directly, and deliver a consistent, elevated level of hospitality.
The Operations Manager for Transportation specifically oversees the Ranch's transportation operations with guest service at the forefront, leading the driver team and coordinating vehicle logistics to ensure safe, efficient, and timely service for guests and employees alike. The ideal candidate brings organizational expertise, aptitude for elevated hospitality, and a hands-on leadership style that balances guest satisfaction with operational excellence. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Outpost-Wide Responsibilities (80%)
Serve as a co-manager of the Outpost alongside other Outpost Managers, ensuring all guest needs are addressed promptly by any Outpost employee, without deferring or redirecting unnecessarily.
Lead by example in fostering a culture of hospitality, positivity, and cross-departmental collaboration across the Ranch.
Provide guidance and support to Outpost staff, ensuring consistent service standards and teamwork in guest interactions.
Ensure your team is trained and responsible for assisting with the coordination and check-in of sleigh ride dinner guests, creating a warm welcome and seamless start to their evening experience.
Collaborate closely with Food & Beverage, Maintenance, Horse Program, and Housekeeping leadership to resolve guest needs, coordinate operations, and maintain property-wide service excellence.
Be proactive in observing the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the Ranch, addressing or escalating details such as stocked firewood, tidied outdoor spaces, and snow removal at guest-facing areas.
Support the Outpost team in daily operations, including guest check-ins, problem resolution, and service recovery.
Transportation-Specific Responsibilities (20%)
Oversee all aspects of Ranch transportation services, ensuring safe, timely, and efficient guest and employee travel.
Recruit, train, schedule, and manage a team of drivers, fostering professionalism, reliability, and hospitality in every interaction.
Coordinate vehicle assignments, ensuring proper usage, maintenance, and readiness of the fleet.
Monitor and enforce safety protocols, compliance with driving regulations, and adherence to Ranch standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve transportation challenges in real time, maintaining clear communication with drivers, guests, and other managers.
Develop and maintain logs, records, and tracking systems for vehicle usage, repairs, and driver schedules.
Collaborate with the Maintenance team to ensure preventive and corrective vehicle maintenance is completed on schedule.
Analyze transportation operations and data to improve efficiency, reliability, and guest satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or hospitality leadership.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.
Proven leadership skills with experience supervising and training teams.
Excellent communication abilities-professional, clear, and solution-oriented.
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance schedules, fleet management, and transportation safety regulations.
Ability to make quick, effective decisions while maintaining composure under pressure.
Valid driver's license with clean driving record; CDL preferred but not required.
Comfortable driving in mountain terrain, snow, and icy conditions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Fast-paced hospitality environment requiring flexibility and adaptability.
Frequent driving in varying weather and terrain conditions.
Must be able to sit for extended periods while driving, as well as stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
Regular weekend, evening, and holiday work required during peak seasons.
Frequent collaboration with multiple departments across the Ranch to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required; must be comfortable driving in snow and icy conditions.
