About the Role of the Senior ProjectManager - Construction
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior ProjectManager (SPM) to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale hyperscale and AI data center construction projects. This role is responsible for full lifecycle project delivery-from pre-construction and design coordination through commissioning and operational handover-while ensuring alignment across cost, schedule, quality, safety, and performance objectives.
The Senior ProjectManager serves as the primary owner's representative on site, overseeing general contractors, subcontractors, design partners, vendors, and commissioning agents. The role requires close coordination with internal Engineering, Operations, Capacity Planning, IT, and EHS teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
This is a site-based role for the duration of each project. Upon completion of the initial assignment in Phoenix, Arizona, the Senior ProjectManager is expected to transition to subsequent project sites in support of the company's ongoing development pipeline. Future project locations will be determined based on business needs and may not be known at the time of hire.

The role will start at a designated project site in Phoenix, Arizona
Upon successful completion of the project, the Senior ProjectManager will transition to the next active construction site, which may be in a different geographic location
Relocation assistance or travel-based arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis

What You'll Be Contributing
Project Leadership & Delivery
Lead end-to-end delivery of hyperscale and AI data center construction projectsManage multiple concurrent project phases across greenfield, brownfield, and expansion environments
Drive cross-functional collaboration across Construction, Engineering, Operations, EHS, IT, and vendor partners
Budget, Cost & Schedule Management
Develop and manageproject budgets, cost tracking, forecasts, procurement schedules, and financial reporting
Oversee contractor pay applications, change orders, value engineering initiatives, and cost risk mitigation
Maintain schedule integrity through active coordination with contractors, engineering teams, supply chain, and equipment vendors
Construction Oversight
Ensure all construction activities comply with design intent, specifications, commissioning requirements, and safety standards
Lead daily and weekly coordination meetings with general contractors and trade partners
Establish and enforce controls for high-risk activities, including energized work, cranes, heavy lifts, hot work, and confined space entry
Design & Engineering Coordination
Collaborate closely with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety design teams
Review design documents, conduct constructability reviews, and coordinate required revisions
Support the evaluation and integration of advanced cooling systems, high-density power infrastructure, and AI-optimized design requirements
Vendor & Contractor Management
Support selection and oversight of general contractors, commissioning agents, equipment suppliers, and specialty vendors
Ensure contractual compliance and performance across all external partners
Lead weekly OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings and maintain detailed issue and risk logs
Commissioning & Turnover
Coordinate with commissioning authorities and operations teams to ensure systems are tested, validated, and fully functional
Oversee MEP functional testing, integrated systems testing (IST), and turnover documentation
Ensure operational readiness for facility activation and customer deployment
Risk, Compliance & Reporting
Identify and mitigate risks related to schedule, cost, quality, supply chain, permitting, and safety
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, building codes, and internal standards
Provide regular executive-level reporting on project status, risks, variances, and key decision points
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (Master's preferred)
7-10+ years of projectmanagement experience, including 3-5+ years in hyperscale or mission-critical data center construction
Proven experience delivering large-scale projects valued at $50M-$500M+
Strong understanding of high-density electrical systems (MV/LV), mechanical cooling systems, backup power, UPS, generators, and BMS/EPMS platforms
Demonstrated ability to manage general contractors, trades, vendors, and design partners
Strong financial acumen in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills
Willingness to travel and/or relocate as projects transition
Preferred Qualifications
PMP, CM-Lean, or similar professional certification
Experience with advanced cooling technologies such as liquid cooling or immersion cooling

What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience
Minimum 10 years of heavy civil projectmanagement experience with a general contractor
Proven ability to lead complex projects and mentor teams
Strong knowledge of project delivery methods: Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, CMAR, JOC
Proficiency in CPM scheduling and construction software (HCSS, Hard Dollar, Agtek, etc.)
Familiarity with MAG, ADOT, MCDOT, and municipal standards
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Assistant project manager job in Phoenix, AZ
This team will be responsible for managing a very large internal virtualization platform that is key to the bank's day to day functionality. As part of the modernization of that environment, we need to migrate a large VM estate from the legacy hosting and network platforms to the new strategic hosting and network platforms. Due to the size of the project we require an additional projectmanager/coordinator to help as we scale out the project.
Day to Day
- Coordination of migration work with project team technical resources
- Coordination of non-automated migrations with application teams
- Raising change requests
- Raising issues with internal technical teams and driving resolution
- Develop and manage migration plans
