Example of Duties
Coordinates, maintains, evaluates, and provides recommendations directly related to the implementation of resource management plans at assigned park(s).
May assist with the Bison Reintroduction Project including daily care, health evaluations, structure and facility inspections, and other related services if assigned to Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park.
Implements resource management plans to achieve the goals of prairie, wetland, reforestation restoration, and steam restoration projects.
Operates and maintains equipment (e.g., tractor and brush hog, chainsaw, wood chipper) utilized in the implementation of prairie restoration, controlled succession and other land management projects.
Performs controlled succession mowing and clearing.
Assists with prescribed burns throughout Metro Parks.
Coordinates plot preparation, seed picking, planting and management of restored prairies, wetlands, reforestation areas, and other habitat restoration areas.
Evaluates, identifies, and manages non-native invasive species throughout park areas.
Assists with the Deer Management Program.
Prepares periodic reports of work accomplished.
May oversee small contracts for succession mowing, farm agreements, and non-native invasive species removal at assigned park(s).
May train Interns and others involved in land management projects such as controlled succession and prairie restoration, in the proper methods and techniques, and safe use of equipment, etc.
Promotes Park District through contact with other conservation agencies, general public and programs.
May coordinate aspects of the Hazardous Tree Program.
Performs special projects and related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Experience: Associate degree in biology, natural resources, environmental science or related field and two (2) years land management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Attendance: Being present at work is an essential function of the position.
Language Skills: Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with coworkers, supervisors, volunteers, neighbors and the general public; ability to prepare and maintain accurate records. Ability to read, interpret and convey directions and instructions from plans and sketches.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions; define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Licenses, Registrations: Possession of a valid Ohio commercial driver's license, insurable by the Park District's insurance carrier, and ability to conform to Metro Parks' driving standards policy. Possession of valid standard first aid and CPR cards within six (6) months of employment; possession of valid pesticide applicator's license. May be required to have or obtain Ohio Certified Burn Manager certification.
Physical Demands: While performing the regular duties of this position, employee is required to sit on equipment for prolonged periods of time, stand, walk, operate power equipment and tools, bend, lift, and talk and hear. Employee uses hands and fingers to pick seeds, plant, use hand held power tools, use equipment/gear associated with prescribed burns, etc.
Work Environment: While performing the regular duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions. The employee spends a portion of their time working in the shop. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Technology Skills: Demonstrated experience using computers, web-based programs, e-mail, internet, intranet, Microsoft Office products, fax machines, office and personal printers, and basic office equipment. Experience with the use social media desired.
Any Additional Information: Knowledge of safety practices and procedures, supervision, proper use of herbicides; land management practices and principles; ability to use equipment and tools utilized in land management projects. Ability to establish effective working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, volunteers and the general public.

The RN Admission Care Liaison Essential Duties Are:

Communicates with attending physicians and hospital staff to establish a coordinated plan of care that reflects the hospice philosophy for new patients and existing patients that are in the hospital; which will ensure that transfers to other care sites are expedited as soon as possible.
Assists in other activities and departments when requested to ensure complete and thorough patient care for all Ohio's Hospice patients.
Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement activities to support the quality of Ohio's Hospice services.
Precepts new staff to support professional relationships with newly hired team members as required.
RN Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited nursing school
RN nurse license in the state of Ohio without any board actions
Two years acute care nursing experience preferred
Certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine (CHPN) preferred and will be made available to Ohio's Hospice employees who wish to obtain certification.
CPR Certified
Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and care.

About the area and Responsibilities of a Campus Liaison

What You'll Do
Action for Children is looking for a creative, energetic individual to work as a part-time (20 hours/week) Outreach Specialist. In this role you will establish and maintain working relationships in the community that support Action for Children's Central Intake program for entry into Help Me Grow and other home visiting programs. You will implement activities to recruit, engage and retain program participants, either directly or through referral sources.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in community engagement activities, including family events (fairs, workshops, and presentations), ensuring proper setup, staffing, and distribution of outreach materials.

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated general cleaner to join our team. The general cleaner will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment, ensuring that the facilities are safe and well-cared for.
Duties:
Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies
Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to disposal areas
Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition
Perform floor care duties including buffing, waxing, and polishing
Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed
Skills:
Experience in industrial cleaning or commercial cleaning is preferred
Knowledge of custodial practices and procedures
Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as power washing, buffers and floor scrubbers
Attention to detail and the ability to work independently
Familiarity with residential painting is a plus

Essential Functions
⢠Cleans and maintains buildings/facilities. Performs heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.
⢠Notifies managers concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems
⢠Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
⢠Complies with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities
⢠Cleaner must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned.
Responsibilities
⢠Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
⢠Sometimes using ladders, dusts and washes furniture, walls, machines, and equipment; cleans ceilings and dusts and polishes light fixtures. Washes and replaces blinds
⢠Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas, either manually or by using hand trucks
⢠May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions. May also sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks
⢠Mixes water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications
⢠Strips, seals, finishes, and polishes floors
⢠Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment
⢠Gathers and empties trash
⢠Wipes and cleans tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas
⢠Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures
⢠Services, cleans, and supplies restrooms
⢠Periodically cleans overhead vents, dusts blinds, and polishes wood furniture
⢠Cleans interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
⢠Sprays insecticides and fumigants to prevent insect and rodent infestation
⢠Sets up, arranges, and removes decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings
⢠Must keep janitor's closet neat and orderly and maintain equipment in good working order
⢠Requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
⢠May be expected to make basic repairs
