Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Contracts Administrator - Level 4 (Senior Principal) to join its team of qualified and diverse individuals. Note: This position is located in Huntsville, AL.
Our Contracts Administrator is responsible for supporting proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration and customer contact activities to provide and ensure proper contract execution and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements and customer requirements. You will be an embedded member of the program management team, supporting program success and new growth opportunities.
The successful candidate will be a direct report to MDWS Contracts Manager and will work closely on a day-to-day basis with the GWS Functional, Program, and Contract Administration teams.
Your Role and Impact:
Act as primary interface with customer for contractual issues. Build customer intimacy as well as be able to effectively cultivate relationships
Monitor contract and associated program(s) to ensure contractual obligations are communicated and understood
Participate in contract proposal preparation, contract negotiations, contract administration, and customer contract activities to manage assigned contracts in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
Ensure fulfillment of contract requirements, manage contract changes and maintain historical information
Work under limited supervision to develop solutions to both routine and complex contractual matters to ensure company compliance with contract requirements on assigned programs
Review terms and conditions to address provisions and risks of financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery requirements, warranty, intellectual property, termination provisions, indemnification and all other potential risk areas and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
Enter and maintain contract data into Contract Management System or Enterprise Accounting System

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of professional experience - OR - Master's degree with 6+ years of professional experience
Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree
Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS or government acquisition regulations
Experience working with MS Office Suite and Adobe
Ability to obtain U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $168,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. The Specialist, Contracts is responsible for planning, conducting, and directing projects or major phases of significant contract assignments. + Contract Management

**Job Description**
**Job Summary:**
Teledyne Brown Engineering is seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join our growing team. In this role, you will manage cradle‑to‑grave contract administration for assigned Government and commercial contracts or subcontracts-from proposal development through final closeout. Responsibilities include supporting proposal preparation and submission, developing small business plans, completing representations and certifications, and ensuring compliance with the Truthful Cost and Pricing Data Act when required.
You will support fact‑finding and negotiations, review terms and conditions, and ensure contract acceptance aligns with company policies and procedures. After award, you will serve as a key member of an integrated program team, providing guidance on contractual matters with strong support from an experienced management team.
This role includes managing customer correspondence, fostering positive customer relationships, and participating in technical and program review meetings. By proactively engaging with program teams and leadership, you will help identify, resolve, and document contractual performance issues, including the management and capture of contract changes. You may also coordinate cross‑functional efforts as needed.
The position offers exposure to a variety of both Government and commercial contract types, as well as opportunities to support other business agreements and legal document reviews. Teledyne Brown's contracts team is a collaborative group committed to supporting both customer and company missions.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Reviews proposals, contracts, and other documents to ensure completeness, accuracy, and acceptability for upper level approval.
+ Submits proposals, bids, SDRLs/CDRLs, test and progress reports, small business reporting, and other exhibits that may be required for assigned contracts.
+ Completes contractual documentation such as representations and certifications.
+ Prepares requests for approval on new proposals and/or contracts in alignment with company and corporate policy.
+ Participates in fact find submissions and assists or leads in the negotiation of contracts with customers.
+ With the support of program managers and other leadership, helps foster the establishment of positive customer relationships and interactions throughout performance.
+ Administers most aspects of assigned contracts, including data entry into CostPoint.
+ Monitors performance of assigned contracts to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and schedule, supporting program management and finance to ensure success.
+ Requests amendments to or extensions of contracts when necessary.
+ Understands and can articulate contractual and other compliance requirements and relate them back to program performance decisions and business processes.
+ Advises departments and assigned program teams of contractual rights and obligations.
+ Maintains auditable contract and proposal databases, including the documentation of required approvals for all actions.
+ Reviews all customer correspondence for assigned awards and responds as necessary.
+ Establishes and maintains contact with customers to ensure the smooth working of the contract awarding process.
+ Attends and participates in regular status and other meetings, including customer visits and tours, in support of assigned contracts.
+ Helps support the approval of invoicing for progress payments, when necessary. Provides intermittent support for payment receipt inquiries.
+ Exercises sound judgement and maintains a high ethical standard when assisting in the resolution of contractual matters.
+ Works with management and leadership to raise awareness and/or seek feedback on contractual concerns or other issues.
+ Participates in opportunities for continuous learning which includes regular company sponsored training and involvement in new awards.
+ Supports audit readiness and provides audit support, as assigned.
+ Occasional availability to include evenings and weekends when necessary to reach goals and deadlines.

The Senior ContractSpecialist will need to demonstrate strong time management skills, including the ability to multitask and prioritize to meet business deadlines. This role requires the highest level of professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, exceptional written skills, analytical skills (data analysis and research), and a strong attention to detail. A comprehensive knowledge and experience in pre-award to post-award phases of cradle to grave contracting, interpreting and applying laws, regulations, policies, standards, or procedures regarding acquisitions in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) are necessary.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Recommending the appropriate contract type or contract method for the product or service being procured; as well as recommending and/or implementing courses of action which may depart from previous approaches to include contracts with extremely stringent time frame
Establishing and monitoring acquisition milestones to ensure progress toward award

Reviewing performance work statements and statements of work to ensure they adequately describe requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Ten (10+) years direct, relevant experience in cradle to grave DoD contracting - must have prior ContractSpecialist or Contracting Officer experience
Knowledge of contracting for a variety of products and services for major systems, research and development (R&D), and/or complex programs using a wide range of contracting methodologies
Demonstrated experience in writing and staffing pre-award and post award related contract documentation
Knowledge of Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), and Firm Fixed Price (FFP) type contracts
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
Must have and maintain a Secret security clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI
