Ideal candidate for this position should have at least 1 year of experience in construction or a related trade, with a solid understanding of industry practices, tools, and safety protocols
Capable of working in constricted work environments (crawlspaces and basements) for extended periods, demonstrating comfort and adaptability in such conditions
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted and more than 50 pounds with assistance, and performing physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
Previous knowledge or experience in construction or related trades is preferred, with a basic understanding of construction processes, tools, and safety protocols
Proficiency in operating various construction equipment and power tools is preferred, with a focus on safe and efficient use
High school diploma or GED preferred

Helitack Crewmember duties including following all relevant aviation guidelines, following safety and welfare policy and procedures, completing aircraft specific documentation and training, and packing heavy loads of fuel, food, water, and tools long distances to get to a work site may be required. Position will be required to work within established safety and policy guidelines as well as attend District Safety and Training school and follow-up trainings.
Position includes other tasks as assigned including, but not limited to, Co-Op projects including slash burning, brush clearing and parks maintenance. Filling out documents and reports completely and accurately is required.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Working conditions require long hours of arduous physical activity in difficult terrain and in all types of weather with exposure to various hazards including, but not limited to poison oak, bees, smoke, snakes, steep terrain, noise, heat, dust, burning and/or falling materials and other hazards. Passing and maintaining the physical fitness level necessary to effectively perform hard physical labor for extended periods under adverse climate, fuel, and terrain conditions; the pace of work typically is set by the emergency situation. Various shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours with short notice may be required. * Monitor/record food and equipment temperatures at regular intervals during the shift.
* Serves meals to customers as needed and assists in stocking hot and cold food items during service and maintains a clean servery.
* Wash dishes as needed to restock all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots and pans; remove all dishes and garbage from depository racks keeping all dish and storage areas clean and organized.
* Assists with putting away freight and counting inventory to fulfill daily meal requirements.
* Assist in inventory counts as directed.
* Cleans and sanitizes equipment, utensils, appliances, work surfaces, serving and storage areas to comply with health and sanitation regulations. Maintains work areas in an acceptable safe and sanitary condition.
* Perform various cleaning tasks, including sweeping and mopping floors; removing trash in the kitchen area.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be current degree-seeking student enrolled in at least 6 credits.
Must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0.
