Roles at a Glance
Trackers offers a variety of educator employment opportunities. We encourage candidates to apply for any and all Seasonal positions that match their availability and interest, as roles are limited and competitive.
Guide As a Guide, you work directly with youth programs. You teach real skills-like stealth, shelter-building, tracking, and craft-with humor, grit, and care. Out in the field, it's you and your group, making magic happen. $21.50 to $23.50 per hour
Coordinator Guide You lead, manage, and mentor both kids and staff, ensuring program safety, flow, and fun. Coordinators hold the line-bringing strategy, leadership, and support across every camp day. $1542/week for the Summer Season.
Specialist (Field Mentor) This is not a generalist role. Specialist Guides are experienced practitioners who lead in one focused area-ceramics, woodworking, bushcraft, hunter safety, paddlesports, and more. $22.50-$28.50/hour. Part-Time Summer Season.
About Compensation
All compensation rates are effective Summer 2026. Required training is paid at Washington minimum wage. Pay for Guides and Coordinators starts at the base rate of the posted range, with increases based on our formal pay bump rubric, including certifications and returning summer seasons. Commitment
We invest heavily in training, so we prioritize applicants who can commit to the full season. For summer, this means being available for full-week assignments - showing up consistently on scheduled program days. This continuity supports the kids. Need flexibility?
Scheduling
Training is required, paid at Washington minimum wage. Final schedules depend on enrollment, training performance, and your availability. For summer, not all staff work every week, and we prioritize those available for the full season. Schedules may change based on site needs-staff are expected to adapt accordingly.
Locations
Staff must be able to report Kirkland, WA. You may be assigned as a Program Guide (central check-in) or Field Guide (report directly to site). Placement depends on program fit, site needs, availability, and experience. We aim for consistent assignments but may reassign staff to support enrollment, coverage, and camper safety.

This is a contracted in person student-facing position which will support spring programming related to ELSO's Consulting Services work and the Youth Climate Education Project through collaborative design and delivery of classroom activities and community engagement events at schools and sites across the Portland-Metro region.
This position supports ELSO's Workforce Development Programs, working under the Workforce Development Program Manager to co-develop workshops and activities, train and mentor camp guides and interns, and facilitate STEAMED workshops and experiences for youth ages 14-College. The Seasonal Educator will assist with college and high school recruitment efforts for interns and fellows, support program logistics, and contribute to program evaluations and debriefs. This shared role provides a unique opportunity to engage with multiple departments, collaborate on curriculum design, and gain hands-on experience in youth leadership development, community engagement, and workforce pathway programming.
This position is adjacent to ELSO's Consulting Services Department which works with clients across the nation to educate and support organizations in deepening and furthering their investment, partnership, and engagement with people and communities.
