Job Description: Load out crew team members are responsible for the daily movement, sorting, and loading of finish pigs at a variety of locations. The load out crew is responsible for the assessment of pig condition; determining if pigs are stressed during the loading process and adjusting to prevent additional stress. Team members must be able to move, sort, and load pigs in a gentle manner to minimize stress and injury to pigs, themselves, and others on the team. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: Business analysis and planning. Development of annual operational targets as well as long range strategic goals. Developing and ensuring all communications are coordinated to the respective managers. Comply with and enforce all bio-security, safety, and animal welfare policies. Requirements: Must be able to reach, bend, and stoop frequently. Non-stop walking; a minimum of 8 hours per day. Steady balance, agility, and reaching required for sorting and movement of pigs. Must be able to lift up to a maximum of 100 pounds consistently, with frequent lifting or carrying of object weighing up to 60 pounds. Transports glass racks cases up to 25 pounds (such as a case of beer) up to 15 times per shift. Reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills required. Physical Requirements: There are physical demands that come with this role.
