Interfaces with multiple departments within the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.

Job Title: Variable Overhead Supervisor
Overview:
The Variable Overhead Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that production operations run safely, efficiently, and meet quality and output targets. This position oversees a defined production area within the Live Oak Plant and plays a key role in supporting team development, safety culture, and operational excellence.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Accurately manage and enter associates' work time.
* Oversee and facilitate cross-training and job rotation within the department.
* Make sound decisions that support safety, quality, and productivity goals.
* Monitor and improve housekeeping, material flow, and people flow.
* Develop, manage, and communicate range and people schedules.
* Complete and maintain accurate attendance documentation for associates.
* Identify and implement opportunities to reduce waste, downtime, and inefficiencies.
* Conduct audits to ensure compliance with operational and safety standards.
* Communicate effectively and escalate issues promptly as needed.
* Handle attendance, performance, and disciplinary matters fairly and consistently.

Requirements:
* Proven ability to lead and motivate associates in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, or an equivalent proven record of leadership.

* Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience with lean manufacturing principles, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement tools.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Operate multiple types of manual or semi-automatic machines.
Move materials and/or parts between workstations.
Assist other operators by loading or unloading jigs, fixtures, and/or tooling.
Assemble and/or pack products.
Load and unload all levels of machines, conveyors, pallets or automatic lines.
Perform set-up for the packing department by setting up tables and obtaining packing supplies necessary for each job.
May perform necessary rework and minor repairs.
Must keep accurate counts of production parts.
Produce to established production and quality standards and conduct simple quality inspections.
Input simple data into computerized machines, but does not program computer.
Keep work areas clean and orderly. Responsible for conducting all works in a safe manner following established safety standards.
Read specified measuring instruments including but not limited to tape measure, micrometer, etc.
Receives team and continuous process improvement training and participates on project teams as required.
