Independence Village of Saginaw As a Server, you will perform a variety of food service functions and maintain clean and sanitary conditions of service area, facilities and equipment. Assists in maintaining a clean and sanitary work area at all times by following checklists, cleaning and organizing work areas, using common sense and proper storage. Check cooler for day dotting items. 9. Maintains thorough knowledge of menu items, beverage items and prices to answer questions and help the guests with their selections and assist new employees with training and questions they may have. 10. Provides exceptional service to our guests on a daily basis. This is done by having a desire to make others happy, having a positive attitude: being the best you can at your job and anticipating your guest's needs and expectations and calling the guest by name. 11. Works in a safe manner at all times and eliminates or reports unsafe conditions to those responsible for that particular area when necessary. 12. Performs other duties as assigned or directed. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: · 18 years or older. High School Diploma or equivalent. · Minimum six months experience in waiting tables to attain knowledge of procedures and areas preferred. · Ability to stand and walk continually. · Ability to lift trays and other containers of moderate weights up to 50 #; according to training procedures. · Ability to work different schedules and attend monthly and corporate meetings.
