A Restaurant Host/Hostess is responsible for greeting and escorting guests to tables in the restaurant, monitoring the restaurant and all staff, maintaining a courteous and efficient operation of the dining room to ensure guest satisfaction. What will I be doing?
A Restaurant Host/Hostess is responsible for greeting and escorting guests to tables in the restaurant, monitoring the restaurant and all staff, maintaining a courteous and efficient operation of the dining room to ensure guest satisfaction. Dona & Toni's Host/Hostess will be responsible for answering guests' calls and taking food orders accurately and in a helpful, friendly and courteous manner. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
* Meet and greet guests as they arrive, offer choice of seating, then escort them to their table and present menu.
* Read, maintain and make daily entries in the logbook to coordinate communication between shifts and management.
* Maintain proper set-up of dining room and enforce uniform and grooming standards of all service personnel on a daily basis. Assign stations to service staff.
* Conduct daily "roll call meetings" to keep staff informed of current promotions, daily specials, guest comments, daily events and pertinent memos.
* Receive, record and make any necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions in the restaurant.
* Perform opening and closing duties. Assist others with side work to include cleaning, stocking, and folding napkins.

Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests. Set tables according to type of event and service standards. Answer questions on menu selections. The base salary for this position is $23.58 hourly.
As a Beach Club Food & Beverage Runner, you will play a vital role in delivering prepared food and beverages with quality presentation and cleanliness to appropriate servicing areas.
Deliver prepared food and beverages to guests with appropriate presentation, utensils, and condiments.
Set up and maintain service areas, including preparation of supplies, bread stations, and condiments.
Assist with food truck operations, including set-up, breakdown, and food delivery.
Maintain cleanliness and safety in all work areas, including guest service and food preparation spaces.
Perform regular cleaning duties and assist with weekly deep cleaning as needed.
Follow department and hotel safety rules, maintaining a safe work environment.
Communicate effectively with guests and team members in English.
Assist and work under the supervision of the department manager and Chef.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Must be available for all shifts and hours, with the ability to stand, walk, and lift as required by the position.
Qualifications
Education:
Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skill, and ability.
High School education preferred
Experience:
One or more years of public contact.
Other:
Ability to obtain a negative tuberculosis clearance.
Ability to read, write, and speak the English language to understand guest requests, communicate with other team members.

Orchid Court offers hearty breakfast options and an extensive island buffet. Guests can grab a cappuccino at the Orchid Court bar or take their time over our mouthwatering breakfast buffet, featuring a made-to-order omelet station, classic dishes, Hawaiian go-tos, fresh pastries and seasonal fresh fruit.
What you will be doing:
Provide unique dining experiences to all of our guests through warm, personal & detailed service in a luxury, upscale and fast paced environment.
Ensure a positive first impression of the restaurant for our guests through detailed cleanliness, set-up and ambiance control.
Prepare appropriately for anticipated dining traffic by creating communication for servers & designating server section assignments.
Ensure guests receive warm welcome, timely service and a fond farewell using guest names to offer a personalized service
Maintain menus to ensure we always have an adequate clean supply
Ensure cleanliness & orderliness of host stand including surrounding work areas.
Control the flow of service in the dining outlet by seating guests in station rotation while maintaining the guest center reservation management system (Open Table)
Handle reservation inquiries, take incoming telephone calls, note special requests by guests and indicate special attention to VIP guests
Perform opening/closing side duties as assigned and set all tables according to standards and procedures
Assist other Food & Beverage outlets with their operations during peak times or when required
Apply necessary precautions with regards to the hotel food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)

SET THE COURSE
The Food and Beverage Host serves as the first point of contact for guests in dining areas, setting the tone for a welcoming and seamless dining experience. This role is responsible for greeting guests warmly, managing reservations and waitlists, efficiently coordinating seating, and supporting front-of-house operations in collaboration with the service team. The role may be asked to clear tables, assist with table service and assist with set up/close prep work as time permits.
BE THE MARLIN BAR GUIDE
Engage and greet guests when they first arrive and help seat them promptly and present menus.
When needed, take guest information while building an organized waitlist.
Maintain organization of the floor chart. Keeping track of available tables and soon to be available.
Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and appearance the host area and menus.
Possess knowledge of all food and beverage menus.
Monitor/stock restroom supplies and maintain restroom cleanliness.
Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries about the menu, restaurant, or reservations.
Assist with the process of takeout orders.
Work as a team with restaurant staff by assisting in other areas of the restaurant as directed by management to ensure smooth operations i.e. clearing and setting tables.
Other duties as needed to help support the overall business.
ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE
Generally, 1 year of related experience in a full-service restaurant.
High School diploma or GED.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must have current food handler's card and alcohol service certification as required by federal/state/local law.
Familiarity with Open Table reservation system preferred.
