We are looking for motivated individuals who would like to be a part of an amazing team here at STEAM Restaurant & Bar, located just inside the beautiful Embassy Suites.
The Server is responsible for:
Provide outstanding guest service to all guests while maintaining all company policy and procedures.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Server's primary responsibilities will include:
Accomplish assigned daily tasks and duties designated by management.
Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or restaurant promotions.
Make specific suggestions of menu items, beverages while demonstrating the ability to up-sell.
Perform procedures for the ordering process from the initial greeting to the check presentation in accordance with the timing standards set forth by the company.
Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations and alcohol awareness pertaining to service of alcoholic beverages.
Provide Guest Service using a tray to carry the properly plated food items and properly garnished drinks.
Anticipate guest needs, such as replenishing beverages and condiments.
Check with guest for overall satisfaction of the dining experience.
Maintain accurate bank and act as own cashier as needed while adhering to all company cash handling procedures.
Maintain control of station in peak periods.
Maintain station cleanliness and organization throughout shift.
Clearing and resetting tables.
Complete all assigned opening, running, and closing side work.
Help keep the restaurant a safe working environment for guests as well as employees.
Provide a clean, neat, and groomed representation of company while in company uniform.
Qualifications REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITY
Must be 18 years as required in compliance with all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to service of alcoholic beverages.
Must possess basic reading and writing skills necessary to perform daily functions and successfully fulfill training and testing requirements.
Strong communication skills to allow the server to problem solve and anticipate the guest's needs.
Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally to a wide range of guest.
Basic mathematic skills are required necessary to perform accurate cash handling responsibilities, which include maintaining, an accurate bank and administering correct change for all guest checks.
Strong problem solving skills are required. Individual must be abele to “read” guest's verbal and non-verbal behaviors to ensure problems are avoided, or at the very least handled according to the company guidelines.
Basic computer skills are required.
Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as required.
Must work well with others and possess the ability to work without constant supervision.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education -Able to read and write English.
High school diploma preferred.
Experience - One year experience in related field preferred.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide an excellent and positive dining experience to our owners and guests at the Harbor Club, pool and during special events. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Greet owners and guests, provide pleasant and professional services, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and drinks.
Provide timely, efficient, enthusiastic, friendly food and beverage service.
Ability to learn and demonstrate knowledge of all menu items, daily specials and beverage offerings including the ability to up-sell.
Properly record all sales transactions and secure accurate payment in POS system.
Perform opening, running and closing sidework checklists for each shift. This includes polishing glassware and silverware, rolling silverware, preparing tea and coffee, bussing and resetting tables, assist with running food with other servers, etc.

Respond to owner and guest requests and inquiries with an appropriate level of sensitivity and immediacy.
Comply with all standard operating procedures, policies, expectations and guidelines established by the company, the Department of Health, and other applicable government agencies.
General knowledge of all services and amenities.
Education, Experience and Knowledge
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Previous experience as a Server or in a similar role preferred, experience in a private club or luxury setting a plus.
Basic knowledge of liquor, beer and wine preferred.
