Job Details
This is a 1099 Contract position. Call volume varies but is typically between 2-5 calls per day. Pay is based on the number of calls completed. Pay starts at $35 per ticket.
You will be completing hardware part replacements for Dell and Lenovo warranty services.
Pay period -every Friday after the first week of completing tickets.
You must have a reliable form of transportation to run these calls.
You must have access to a computer and the internet to log onto your portal.
Tickets are run Monday through Friday. You must be able to log into your tech portal every workday by 9 am to accept, code (update status), and map out your calls.
You will be responsible for contacting your customers and confirming a window to go onsite to complete the service.
Parts will be provided for you by the manufacturers. They are typically held at FedEx for you to pick up in the morning. You will be provided with shipping labels and materials to return the removed parts.

Position Overview
We are seeking a Telecom & IT Field Technician to join our growing team. The ideal
candidate is versatile, punctual, and comfortable working both independently and as part of
a team. This role involves installing and servicing telecom systems (hosted and premise-
based), cabling infrastructure, carrier services, and network equipment (switches, firewalls,
PCs) for a wide range of customers.
Responsibilities
- Install, program, and service hosted and premise-based telecom systems
- Perform structured cabling installations (voice, data, and fiber)
- Deploy and maintain carrier service connections (SIP, VoIP, broadband, etc.)
- Configure and troubleshoot network equipment (switches, firewalls, PCs)
- Conduct site surveys, document work, and ensure compliance with standards
- Provide exceptional customer service while representing Alpha Scanlon
- Participate in rotating on-call schedule (every 3-4 weeks, minimal calls)

Core responsibilities
IT Support & Employee Assistance
Serve as a point of contact for employee IT Support requests
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across mac OS and Windows
Provide timely, clear, and empathetic support to employees across departments
Escalate complex issues appropriately while owning communication and resolution
Device Provisioning & Lifecycle Management
Build, configure, and deploy laptops for new hires and replacements
Prepare devices with required OS configuration, security tooling, and applications
Manage the full device lifecycle including provisioning, shipping, repairs, replacements, and decommissioning
Maintain accurate asset tracking and inventory records
Identity, Access, & SaaS Administration
Support user access and lifecycle events in tools such as Google Workspace, Okta, Slack, Dialpad, and other SaaS platforms
Assist with account provisioning, deprovisioning, and access troubleshooting
About you
Proven experience in an IT support or IT Specialist role, with hands-on experience supporting users and maintaining tools such as Okta, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and Slack. You are eager to learn, take ownership of issues, and improve systems over time.
With your robust analytical acumen, you demonstrate an ability to promptly identify and overcome intricate technical obstacles. Your skill in critical thinking underpins this ability, enabling efficient problem-solving.
Excellent communication skills, allowing you to collaborate seamlessly with diverse teams and articulate complex ideas in a clear manner.
You value teamwork and understand the importance of clear communication, especially in a remote-first environment.
You have a foundational understanding of IT security principles and compliance requirements.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000
This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary/wage. The actual base salary/wage will depend on several factors, including experience, knowledge, and skills. Actual compensation packages may include other elements equity, paid time off and benefits.
