About the Role Facilities Technician: The Facilities Technician (FT) provides the daily care and focused attention necessary to maintain a clean, efficient, and operational environment within the facility. FT will perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on the cultivation facility and machinery as directed by the on-duty supervisor. FT will provide meaningful feedback to leadership to ensure maintenance is real time, strategic, and executed seamlessly within the operation. FT will interact with vendors and contractors to ensure all jobs leverage the appropriate level of expertise. Major repairs may include working alongside and coordinating with external contractors or licensed tradesmen. Repairs can include emergency situations and/or scheduled repairs. * Responsibly use and/or operate vehicles, tools, materials, parts, maintenance supplies and equipment when necessary and ensure that they are used safely, effectively, and efficiently. * Install and maintain new equipment (assembling racks, installing dehumidifiers, etc.) as directed by the Facilities Manager. * Troubleshoots minor maintenance issues involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment. * Follow maintenance and repair schedules set forth by the Facilities Manager and ensure routine maintenance is performed in a timely and efficient manner. * Scheduling maintenance when the scope is outside realm of expertise, but continuously learning from contractors to eliminate the need for outside services when possible. * Other duties as assigned; scope of the job may change as necessitated by business demands. * Undertake occasional custodial and janitorial tasks (shoveling snow from the sidewalk) * Wash the employees' uniforms in our onsite washer/dryer area and sorts by employee ensuring that employees have clean uniforms for their shift every day. * May help in other departments as needed/Other duties as assigned. Administrative Duties: * Maintains accurate records of repairs, equipment cleaning, maintenance and calibration and any other facility systems related logs assigned by on-duty supervisor. * Promptly reports any system failure, malfunction, or facility damage to the Facilities Manager * Assists with the completion of daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on building equipment, and maintenance procedures * Must be able to adhere to facility SOPs. Additionally: Assist in the completion of secondary Facilities tasks according to company needs. Follow all aspects of the workplace safety program, biosafety program, and maintain compliance with all rules and regulations. And maintain a clean and safe environment on the production floor. Education and/or Work Experience * High school diploma or equivalent experience required. A Bachelor's Degree preferred. * Minimum of 2 years of experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair preferred. * A strong knowledge of trades- plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, tile, miscellaneous repairs and maintenance or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience. * Knowledge of the marijuana industry strongly preferred or other highly regulated industry. * Work history showing flexibility and willingness to accept additional projects or challenges. Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and service all HVAC products on assigned projects and ensure customer satisfaction Review diagnostics and use the proper tools to complete repairs Perform proper preventative maintenance as needed Respond to emergency maintenance requests Provide final inspection of systems once repairs are completed to ensure all equipment is operating safely Foster good customer relations by explaining the service work performed, providing technical support and making sure they are happy with the job that has been done Adhere to all safety policies and procedures Perform other duties as required to maintain and enhance departmental productivity Requirements 2-4 years of on the job HVAC service experience Strong understanding of HVAC systems and how to repair/maintain them Solid experience with hand and power tools, as well as an overall mechanical aptitude Ability to read and understand wiring diagram and system literature Must be able to work well independently and in a team Must be able to be on-call within our on-call rotation Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, in speech and writing with customers and our team Valid driver's license required Benefits: Medical Insurance & HSA 401(k) with company match up to 4% Paid Time Off / 6 Paid Holidays Company Paid LTD and Life Insurance On call bonus Sales spiffs Vacation reimbursement Pay is dependent on experience and ranges from $25 - $40/hour.
