The Role We Want You For
As a Project Director, you will be based on the construction project site and provide leadership on projects as the "single point of contact" for the owner, design department, and the project staff for a data center project. Ensure quality and timely execution of design-build projects from design to completion and deliver the best solutions on projects valued anywhere from a $60 million to over $250 million. At Clayco, The Project Director will work with marketing, pre-construction services, business unit leaders, and mentoring Project Managers and Engineers and have overall responsibility for these projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead a team of engineers that prepares and reviews design and construction scopes of work as well as material specifications for small maintenance and capital projects including tanks, pumps, motors, meters, valves and piping.

Lead/Participate in investigations and RCA reviews associated with abnormal operating events. Determine corrective action as necessary.
Manage optimization efforts relative to power and DRA use on the pipeline system, and support operations in the budgeting process.
Assure all safety procedures and policies are communicated and enforced with contractors.

General knowledge and understanding of pipeline hydraulics

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Project Manager is responsible for regional gas processing and treating plant projects, field gathering projects, and will manage these capital growth projects and/or other operations or commercial-derived projects meeting project scope, budget, and schedule requirements.
* Implement entire project cycle for growth capital projects including: scope and design development, AFE preparation and submittals, material procurement, execution and construction oversite, commissioning, and project completion.
* Provide support during the development of construction agreements.
* Work with (and guide) the Construction Group members in construction and inspection activities.
* Projects are driven by cost and schedule to meet commercial commitments.
* Communicate with project stakeholders including operations personnel, cost controls, project controls, project planning, and contractors for project implementation.
* Participate in PSM activities for growth projects and develop and implement PSM work, including Design reviews, PHAs, LOPAs, MOCs, training, etc.
* Responsible for technical review of designs, drawings, and studies.
* Ensure work complies with federal, state, and local regulations (including safety, environmental, and DOT) and internal policies and procedures.
* Work with process engineering group to develop projects that follow engineering standards, code compliance, proper company and safety standards, and good engineering practices.
* Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen project management knowledge base and proficiencies.
* Provide guidance and training to less experienced project engineers, to help develop their project engineering and project management skills.

Job Summary
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and successful delivery of commissioning activities for distributed and on-site power solutions. This role oversees multiple sites and coordinates teams to ensure that each microgrid is commissioned safely, on schedule, and to performance specifications. Essential Duties
Lead commissioning team efforts across multiple microgrid sites, including large-scale natural gas generators projects and supporting systems (products, controls, distribution, etc.).
Define commissioning scope, schedule, and budget; ensure alignment with corporate objectives and customer requirements.
Drive accountability through regular reporting and updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Provide coaching and leadership to field technicians, contractors, and site teams.
Serve as the primary point of contact for external partners, contractors, and regulatory authorities during the commissioning phase.

Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to ensure smooth transition from commissioning to full operational status.

Participate with project team and preconstruction services in development of a Project Chart of Accounts.
Coordinate with Project Superintendent in development of a project site logistics plan.
Assist Superintendent in the management of subcontractors.
Maintain understanding of the Clayco/Owner contract.
Oversee the submittal, change order, and pay request process.
Assist in generation of project costs and Job Cost Report.
Contribute to the analyzing and forecast of quarterly Total Cost Projection reports.
Monitor and record training of all staff personnel.
Monitor project labor.
Report and track equipment needs.
Assist preconstruction services in bidding projects.
Implement applicable safety, EEO, and Affirmative Action programs.
Participate in the project's quality process.
Contribute to schedule and project close-out processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related.
5 -10 years of experience managing construction projects ($25+ million) ideally design-build.
Strong project safety record and commitment to safety and quality.
Previous experience with set-up, budget planning, buyout, and cost reporting.
Demonstrated knowledge of construction principles, practices, and technology.
Previous experience leading a successful project management team.
Creative and results-oriented with a sense of urgency.
Ability to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi floor scaffolding.
Ability to lift objects at least 50lbs.
