This includes identifying and understanding customer needs and opportunities; proposing system solutions; and supporting design-in activities. The position requires an ability to function autonomously as a technology expert while working in a dynamic environment with the other members of the local sales and applications engineering teams. This role requires senior-level automotive electronics experience; understanding of electronic hardware design best practices; capability to debug embedded systems; and knowledge of digital audio and/or video data transport and network stack concepts. Previous knowledge of automotive infotainment systems specifically is desired but not required. The ideal candidate has solid communications skills with the ability to understand and manage customer expectations. Familiarity with automotive product development principles and processes; EMC/EMI validation; or functional safety concepts are all desirable attributes.
