This role is responsible for supporting lawyers in the various daily operations of the company's Law Department. The Paralegal will work directly with lawyers on wide-ranging legal matters with an emphasis on contract drafting, analysis, execution, and lifecycle management in addition to working on litigation, transactional, ethics & compliance, or legal technology matters, among others.
Summary:
This Paralegal position will work for the largest business division in the company, the Property Tax Practice Group. This position is embedded in this business division and reports directly to the division's lead lawyer, the Vice President, Legal & Division General Counsel for Property Tax. That lawyer reports in turn directly to the company's Chief Legal Officer & General Counsel.
Duties:
Supporting closely the lawyers dedicated to this division, as they manage its contract, bankruptcy, dispute resolution, transactional, regulatory, governance, and compliance matters.
Facilitating Legal's contracting with clients, vendors, and outside legal counsel.
Assisting with Legal's responses to failures in client service.
Filing proofs of claim and working on other bankruptcy related tasks that arise in Chapter 11 or Chapter 7 bankruptcies.
Working with Accounts Receivable and Accounting in collection efforts.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate
At least 5 years of support staff experience in a corporate law department and/or a law firm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Assisting attorneys in negotiating contract terms with third parties to ensure favorable terms and adherence to internal policies and risk mitigation standards
Assist in house counsel and internal business unit owners on the design and deployment of contract lifecycle management solutions
Oversee large-scale projects related to contracts and third-party risk management

Qualifications (Education, Computer Skills, Certifications, Etc.):

Key Responsibilities
As a Logistics Contract Paralegal, you will work with the Legal & Compliance team and various business representatives to support contract and project management functions of the company's smart logistics (SL) business. Contract Management
