Description
As a SW EPM, you'll drive end-to-end delivery of software applications and systems that enable hardware testing, validation, and manufacturing across Apple's entire product ecosystem. You'll partner with Engineering, Technology, Finance, Operations and other multi-functional organizations to translate complex technical requirements into actionable programs and ensure on time delivery.
Responsibilities
Lead comprehensive requirements gathering across collaborators to define clear, actionable software specifications and acceptance criteria
Drive technical design reviews with engineering teams, ensuring architectural decisions align with business objectives and scalability requirements
Investigate into features and functionality to understand technical complexity, dependencies, and integration points across systems
Proactively identify and drive resolution of technical risks, working with engineering leads to develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans
Own end-to-end project delivery, ensuring accurate completion while maintaining high quality standards through meticulous testing and validation processes
Coordinate and handle large vendor teams, establishing clear work you're doing, timelines, and accountability structures to ensure successful project completion
Champion process improvements and establish quality gates throughout the development lifecycle
Additional responsibilities may include maintaining portfolio level roadmaps, oversight on resource capacity, funding, rolling out project framework, new initiatives, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
3+ years of software project management experience
Hands-on software engineering and development background - we value candidates who have written code, built systems, and understand the development lifecycle from experience
Preferred Qualifications
Confirmed expertise in requirements analysis and translating business needs into technical specifications
Shown success delivering high-quality software projects on time through effective quality management and achievement tracking
Track record of identifying technical risks early and leading technical deep dives with SW engineers, DevOps and QA to resolve sophisticated technical challenges
Excellent presentation skills with validated experience delivering clear project updates and priorities
Knowledge of software engineering standard methodologies (Agile, DevOps, quality assurance processes)
Passion for operational perfection and customer-focused outcomes
Relevant industry certifications are a plus: PMP, Agile/Scrum certifications (CSM, PSM), SAFe, or equivalent programmanagement credentials

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $115,710 and $203,000 annualized, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
