The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the position as necessary. * Completes meal procedures by receiving food carts from kitchen, ensuring meals are at appropriate serving temperature, identifying inmates with special diets, introduces trays into cells, ensuring each tray is complete, retrieving trays, spoons and cups from cells, performing a spoon count and sending utensils back to kitchen.
* Conducts security checks by walking exterior catwalk, inspecting bars, windows, screens, locks and doors, performing walks in cells and checking locks and windows in hallways.
* Performs routine searches of inmates and housing areas by performing strip searches, conducting pat searches and conducting cell searches.
* Responds to emergencies by arriving on the scene of an emergency, separating, restraining or evacuating inmates in the affected areas, conducting initial investigation of the incident, notifying appropriate personnel and providing detailed reports to the supervisor.
* Processes incoming subjects by fingerprinting, searching, and completing necessary forms during the booking process and photographing; supervises the phone calls made by inmates and subjects being booked, and inventorying and storing personal properties.
* Prepares and maintains documents and reports including daily progress reports, booking reports, property reports, medical forms, activity sheets, released sheets, medical and phone logs, jail and court lists, head count forms, time sheets, receipts, incident reports, and computer release dates.
* Operate within the correctional facility system to keep record of everyone admitted to or released from the correctional facility.
* Performs related work as required.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent supplemented by specialized courses/training.

1. Be at assigned school crossing(s) on time and stay at assigned post for the complete scheduled time. Must have transportation or the ability to travel to assigned post.

3. Stand at least in the middle of the crosswalk with hand held out, stop sign held high for all motorists to see until all children are completely out of the crosswalk.

5. Report any disobedient children that fail to follow instructions to supervisor and/or school personnel.

Summary:
The Armed Security Guard provides security, installation access control, roving patrols, surveillance, monitoring and overall safeguarding to the installation and its tenants. This is a United States Army installation, which includes all access gym and workout facility as well as a PX, Burger King, and MWR.
Requirements
Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen
If U.S. military experience is included as referenced experience, candidate must have a DD214 within the last 10 years as verification
May require a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (CGS-Kosovo can sponsor new clearances)
Have two (2) years' experience in armed security, armed law enforcement, or have performed operations within the Armed Forces, civilian police or commercial security while armed within the past 10 years
Must have completed a State recognized civilian security or law enforcement academy, or the completion of an armed forces security or law enforcement training program. (Verification of training, such as a training certificate/s or DD214 (honorable discharge) must be provided)
Have a current/active U.S. Passport
Be willing to undergo an NCIC/FBI criminal background report to include fingerprints. Must have a clean criminal history with no convictions or major traffic offenses
Must have experience and knowledge of security operations
Must have experience with basic force protection
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
Must be medically fit and undergo medical testing
Must pass a Physical Ability Test (to include - run 1.5 miles in 17:30 minutes and 21 pushups in two minutes). This is strictly enforced, and exceptions or waivers will not be allowed
Must be willing to undergo random drug testing upon request
Regular working hours are 48 hours per week. Due to the nature of the proposed employment, the employee may work on different schedules on different days of the week as assigned by a supervisor and may also be required to work additional hours beyond scheduled time
Physical Requirements/Working Environment:
The candidate must maintain the necessary physical fitness to ensure accomplishment of assigned missions. This includes guard duties under local types of weather and terrain. The candidate must meet all physical and medical requirements as dictated by the U.S. Government client's contract.
