Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities Volunteer Management Oversee the selection and supervision of approximately 100+ Mountain Host volunteers. Provide initial and ongoing training, coaching, and encouragement. Conduct routine audits to ensure program goals are met, with follow-up improvement directives. Create and maintain a positive environment, differentiating between volunteerism and employment. Operational Leadership Set goals and standards for the Mountain Host Program and audit routinely to ensure that they are being met. Conduct morning meetings, safety huddles, and guest service sessions. Assign daily tasks and gather relevant information. Ensure volunteers' knowledge of mountain operations, events, and activities. Gather and share information across departments. Guest Experience Enhancement Provide and model superior guest service. Address complaints and conduct guest surveys. Promote mountain services effectively. Oversee day-to-day operations of the Concierge Desk. Manage the resort's Lost and Found process and procedures. Knowledge Management Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Mt. Bachelor's operations, trail system, and amenities. Stay informed about local attractions and ensure volunteers are well-informed. Administrative Duties Oversee monthly scheduling to ensure day-to-day host coverage within the scope of operating needs. Compile progress reports and maintain volunteers and training records. Job Scope The Mountain Host Supervisor operates within the established parameters of the Guest Services Department. While not responsible for the development of new polices and/or guidelines, the Supervisors' input is an important step when formulating new policies. Supervisory Responsibilities Positions Supervised: 100 +/- Volunteers Scheduling and assigning work: Yes Assist in the creation and monitoring of the Volunteer Monthly Schedule. Assist in the creation and monitoring of the Volunteer Mountain Hosts Daily Assignment Sheet. Training: Yes Assist with Guest Services Training, Concierge Desk Training, Mountain Host Duty Stations training, and slope-side orientation tour training of all Mountain Hosts. Disciplinary Actions: Assist in the implementation of training, both at the beginning of the season and continuing. Hiring/Termination: This position will have input, but not full responsibility. Interpersonal Contacts The Mountain Host Supervisor interacts with every department at Mt Bachelor. Strong communication and public relations skills are a plus. Training/instructional background is a plus. Familiarity with Central Oregon and the surrounding communities is a plus. The purpose of the Banquet & Catering Server is to provide food and beverage service to Members and guests with a focus on excellence, consistency and the Member/guest experience. Responsibilities Include: Ensure that each Member and guest receives outstanding service in a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every Member and guest, maintaining outstanding service standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service. Empowered to guarantee total Member satisfaction, display hospitality and professionalism to our Members at all times, take pride in representing Yellowstone Club professionally with our Members and guests and assure that all transactions are handled in a legal and ethical manner. Understand and apply all property safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for team members, Members, and guests at all times. In the event of an accident or emergency, seek medical attention if necessary and contact the Assistant General Manager or Human Resources immediately. Maintain a favorable working relationship with all Yellowstone Club team members to foster and promote a positive working environment Take and serve orders. Bus tables, carry dishes and trays of food and glassware. Attend to Members and guests upon entrance. Know or learn Member's names immediately. Relay any special dietary restrictions and special requests to the culinary staff. Work in collaboration with other teammates to deliver Member and guests expectations. Maintain a clean, organized dining room and work station. Efficient use of the POS system, including ringing in tickets, closing out shifts and adding special requests/notes, and the difference between comps and voids. Position Requirements: High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work required 2-3+ years of serving experience in a fine dining restaurant 3-5 years of experience in a smaller, full-service restaurant would be considered ServSafe and TIPS certifications Able to speak clearly and effectively with Members, guests, co-workers, vendors and other Yellowstone Club departments. Able to write clearly and legibly Able to perform basic math calculations The position offered is an On-Call, seasonal position located in Big Sky, Montana.
