The Student Conservation Association, in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), is seeking high school-aged students to join the Pennsylvania Outdoor Corps. The Pennsylvania Outdoor Corps offers paid work experience, hands-on skill development, and educational opportunities. Crew members will join a team of peers to complete conservation and infrastructure projects on Pennsylvania's public lands over the course of the season. Members will also participate in education and training activities related to resource management, environmental education, and recreation. The Production department works through the Program Office team to bring artist and creator visions to life by providing audio and visual production support. There are multiple events each day; events can include music and orchestral productions, visual presentations, special functions, lectures, conferences, and meetings. Shift start times vary from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. About Your Compensation Compensation for this position starts at $16.00/Hour and, with demonstrated experience and qualifications, candidates may earn up to $18.00/Hour. About Your Work Day Ensuring that the production needs of all events in the Amphitheater are efficiently and adequately delivered. Assist in the setting up and tearing down of equipment for all performances and rehearsals. Under the supervision of the Production Managers assist in planning the allocation of production equipment resources. Care and maintenance of the facility. Ensuring that all aspects of the facility and resources are maintained and kept in pristine condition. Including cleaning, checking inventory, organization, and preventative maintenance. Assist additional production crews as needed across all Institution properties. Work professionally alongside local Unions, touring technicians, and guests. Interacting professionally with all individuals who comprise the Chautauqua community, including fellow crew members, on-stage performers/presenters, and CI guests attending events, ensuring a positive experience for all. Reports directly to the Amphitheater Production Manager and subsequently the Program Production Manager. About the Referral Program Chautauqua Institution's Referral Bonus Program is a talent solution to recruit, develop, and retain a diverse workforce that encompasses all the skills and experience necessary to deliver on our goals and objectives. Chautauqua Institution will provide a $500 referral bonus (less taxes) for active employees referring a new candidate who is hired and remains employed for at least 90-days from the first physical date of work. About Your Schedule Chautauqua Institution and Chautauqua Hotel Company offer flexible schedules, full and part-time, for seasonal employment during summer operations starting annually each June and concluding in August.
