Essential Duties:
Lead and oversee the technicalsupport function for field operations, ensuring timely and accurate troubleshooting, diagnostics, and resolution of equipment and system issues across service lines.
Serve as the primary technical liaison between field teams, engineering, operations, and customers to resolve complex product or service challenges and maintain customer satisfaction.
Develop and maintain troubleshooting procedures, service manuals, and training documentation to standardize support across regions and product lines.
Coordinate and prioritize support requests to ensure critical operational issues are escalated and resolved efficiently with minimal downtime.
Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to communicate field performance data, failure trends, and improvement opportunities.
Provide leadership and mentorship to technicalsupport specialists, field service engineers, and technicians-establishing performance expectations, conducting coaching, and driving skill development.
Manage technicalsupport reporting and metrics, including response times, resolution rates, and customer satisfaction KPIs.
Conduct root cause analyses (RCA) for recurring technical problems and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
Support commissioning, installation, and start-up activities for new systems or equipment, ensuring documentation and lessons learned are captured.
Develop and deliver technical training programs for internal personnel and customers to strengthen understanding of system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with HSEQ teams to ensure all technicalsupport activities align with company safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Assist sales and operations teams with technical presentations, bid support, and customer engagement on complex service solutions.
Requirements:
EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical discipline required; equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of degree
EXPERIENCE: 5 - 7 years in technicalsupport, field engineering, or similar role
CERTIFICATIONS: PMP, Six Sigma, or specialized OEM training in instrumentation, automation, or control systems preferred

Position Overview
AST SpaceMobile is currently seeking a skilled Information Technology (IT) Technician to support end users, maintain enterprise hardware and software systems, and contribute to the reliability and efficiency of IT operations. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, ideal for someone who excels in troubleshooting, customer service, and adapting quickly in a growing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technicalsupport to end users for workstations, servers, and mobile devices (hardware and software).
Support and maintain Office 365 applications for users.
Prepare, deploy, and ship new hardware to remote sites and end users.
Assist with deployment of on-premises hardware including routers, switches, Ethernet cabling, servers, workstations, monitors, and printers.
Manage user accounts in on-premises Active Directory and cloud-based identity providers (Azure AD, LastPass).
Perform software installations, patches, and upgrades to maintain system security and integrity.
Troubleshoot issues to isolate and diagnose common hardware and software problems.
Create and maintain accurate systems documentation.
Escalate complex issues to subject matter experts when required.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in IT or related field preferred.
IT-related certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, VMware) are a plus.
Experience:
A minimum of 2+ years in desktop support, help desk, or customer support roles.
Experience supporting Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office in a technicalsupport capacity.
Hands-on experience with hardware maintenance including racking servers, deploying workstations, and setting up peripheral devices.
General knowledge of networking fundamentals (OSI model, TCP/IP, protocols, routing, firewalls).
Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
Flexibility to participate in on-call rotations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, VMware.
Experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware).
Familiarity with cloud IaaS platforms (AWS or Azure).
Experience with Cisco Meraki network infrastructure.
Experience supporting mac OS, iOS, and Android devices.

What you'll do:
* Deliver hands-on operations, maintenance, and product training for McCoy Global equipment, including field trials, while continually improving training materials and educational tools.
* Provide 24/7 technical product support, responding to customer requests within defined timeframes by working closely with internal teams to ensure timely, high-quality solutions.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, supporting satisfaction, issue resolution, and the successful delivery of solutions aligned with customer needs and objectives.
* Identify sales, growth, and new account opportunities across Sales, Rental, and Service, assisting with the development and execution of plans to capture customer and market opportunities.
* Gather, analyze, and communicate market, customer, and competitor intelligence including trends, pricing, market share, and technology impacts to support strategic and tactical planning.
* Capture and communicate with customers and industry new product opportunities, providing input into business cases and requirements to ensure products are fit for purpose.
* Provide regular activity and market reports to Sales, Marketing, and Product Line teams.
* Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company policies, Health & Safety standards, and Quality Management requirements.
