Job Purpose
As a Technical Service Representative, you will support our customers by providing expert technical guidance, training, and hands-on product support. You'll partner closely with Sales & Marketing to maintain strong relationships, support new business opportunities, and ensure our coatings meet every performance expectation. Your work directly contributes to customer satisfaction, business growth, and our reputation as an industry leader.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide full technical support to customers, including onsite troubleshooting and product application expertise
* Analyze product and application issues; perform investigations when needed and coordinate corrective actions with internal teams
* Manage complex customer complaints with a focus on resolution and service excellence
* Participate in testing, trials, and implementation of new technologies and products at customer locations
* Build strong relationships with customer technical teams to retain and grow business
* Support the commercial team in qualifying new opportunities and gathering customer requirements
* Maintain accurate and timely CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and reporting data (visit reports, actions, etc.)
* Uphold company values, safe work practices, and all compliance requirements
Qualifications
* Coatings Experience: 2-5 years of technical service or support experience in paints & coatings
* Language Skills: A good command of the English language is necessary. Bilingual French/English is preferred.
* Education: Post-secondary education preferred; Chemical background an asset - all may apply
* Computer Skills: Excel, E-mail management and basic understanding of computers.
* Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 25kg, stand for long periods of time and see colours accurately.

This position is responsible for executing daily scheduling philosophy, utilizing a prioritized list of work provided by planning, with a focus on maximizing generation and ensuring work is prioritized and completed.
Role Responsibilities:
* Test, maintain, and troubleshoot solar PV & battery storage electrical equipment
* Ensure that all assigned maintenance tasks are performed safely and by site operating procedures established for Storage/Solar PV sites
* Complete Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO), JSA's, Permit to Work, and job-specific documentation that is required to conduct maintenance and repairs in a safe manner
* Proactively look for improvement opportunities to job appropriate processes and procedures
* Perform data collection and prepare reports to meet reporting requirements
* Perform balance of plant and switchyard work as required
* Perform maintenance on BESS, trackers, inverters, and other PV electrical equipment as assigned by the Site Supervisor or Lead
* Monitor the activities of maintenance contractors and ensure corrective actions where appropriate
* Perform current and voltage readings as necessary
* Document all work and generate reports as necessary
* Identify gaps in safety standards and safety risks in the environment
* At times, may assist with BOP activities
* Use available tools to monitor energy output and respond quickly to emergencies or situations requiring immediate troubleshooting and corrective actions
* Ensure site access, site HSE, security, deliveries, and inspections are performed by site protocols
* Interface with any 3rd party contractors working at our facilities

Job Requirements and Experiences:
* High School Diploma or equivalent required
* Associate degree in engineering or related Science from an accredited US school other than correspondence or internet preferred
* Minimum 2 years of work experience in operations and maintenance of power generation, transmission, and distribution. Preference will be given to the candidate with some renewable energy experience, preferably solar and battery storage.
* Unrestricted driver license in good standing
* Willing to relocate to within 1 hour drive of site
* Must be skilled in at least one of the following: power plant operations, electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance; substations maintenance; power plant safety protocols
* Knowledge of and experience with the use of hand and power tools

Cross-check price of delivered goods for accuracy.
