Assist with reception for the Lane Community College Dental Clinic to schedule appointments, schedule student activities and provide excellent customer service.

* Work as a member of the Dental Clinic Team to manage and schedule Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting Program student use of the dental clinic as well as schedule patients for a busy multi-chair dental clinic.

Drives Meals on Wheels routes as needed and conducts OAA new client, in person intake assessments and annual reassessments.
Communicates with social service agencies and professionals concerning client welfare.
Makes referrals to Protective Services when neglect, exploitations and/or abuse of a senior or disabled person is suspected.
Assist with driver distribution (back up, as needed).

Insurance & Billing Coordination
Prepare and submit accurate insurance claims, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations

Communicate clearly with patients about their insurance coverage, financial responsibilities, and available payment options
Maintain accurate records of billing activity, claims, and patient communications
Ensure all processes comply with HIPAA regulations and internal confidentiality policies
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous dental office experience preferred but not required
Strong knowledge of dental terminology and insurance billing procedures
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Comfortable using dental practice management software (experience is a plus)
Clear understanding of confidentiality and patient privacy regulations
