Summary
Under the responsibility of the Manager, the Supervisor Logistics is responsible to supervise, coordinate and oversee the logistics operations and provide coaching, development and training to the staff members. The successful candidate must be able to provide recommendations for improvements to the facility, equipment, machinery, and processes. They will be accountable that the staff is performing to standard and has to ensure that progress is made to achieve the business objectives.
Essential Functions
Supervise, coordinate and oversee day to day logistics operations;
Plan and review, in collaboration with the Logistics Manager, all logistics processes, ensuring that they meet the company standards and customer service specifications
Establish work schedules and procedures and coordinate activities of the workers to ensure optimal shift/team logistics
Accountable for site Key Performance Indication (KPI)
Working in collaboration with customer in all aspect of operations
Meet regularly with team members collectively, as well as on an individual basis to monitor progress towards meeting objectives, track performance, coach and counsel as well as recognizing team and individual successes

Job Overview

Overview

What you will need
You must be 21 years or older.
You must be in good physical condition and capable of lifting in excess of 60 pounds, standing for extended periods of time, able to climb steps and ladders, and capable of bending, stooping, and carrying products up steps, stairs, and down ramps and walkways.
You must have previous experience operating warehouse equipment including sit down forklifts, standing forklifts, and standing order selectors.
How you will make an Impact
Supervise associates as they Select product from warehouse stocking locations to fill pick ticket orders.
Maintains company standards for accuracy and promptness in pulling the proper items in the proper quantity.
Accurately and legibly records pulled quantities and product serial numbers on pick ticket documents or in related computer programs.
Packages and prepares pulled orders in a manner as directed by management, including labeling of packages as to customer name.
Assists in staging and loading pulled orders into delivery vehicles.
Assists in unloading product from receiving containers as needed.
Assists in product stocking and additional warehouse projects as needed.

What you will be doing:
Coordinates daily activities within the distribution center
Supervises staff and directs work as they execute activities related to order fulfillment, order management, inventory management, stocking, material handling, equipment usage, and related needs
Prepares work schedules and reacts quickly and effectively regarding unexpected labor needs
Manages labor hours and payroll in electronic timekeeping system
Interviews and trains prospective and new team members
Supervises business support staff development including appraising performance, rewarding employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Ensures team understands and works toward performance goals
Recommends process improvements within the warehouse or distribution center
Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels
Ensures compliance to all company and customer policies and procedures including safety
Schedules work for special and periodic inventories
Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies
Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and ISO9002 procedures
Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of team.
Prepares reports for leadership
Assists in maintaining the physical properties of the warehouse
Submits weekly, monthly and other special services billing to customer services representatives
Supervises employees in distribution center operation in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws

Requirements
High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent
Minimum 3 to 5 years related warehouse and/or distribution center experience
1 year of supervisory experience preferred
Experience with warehouse equipment
Experience with warehouse management systems
Experience with labor management systems
PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

Position Summary
Under general direction of the Warehouse Manager, this Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for improving the daily operations of the department by contributing to the creation and maintenance of standard operating guidelines, procedures, templates, tools and training programs. Works with the supervisors and management to create and maintain reports, training initiatives and key performance metrics; acts as a backup supervisor when necessary. Proactively searches for and presents process improvement opportunities to management and helps define, plan and implement solutions; supports the development of site managers and supervisors by identifying training opportunities and contributing to the development of training programs.
