    We are seeking two Freight Agents in the greater Chicago area for a well-performing National Third-Party Logistics Provider specializing in the transportation of FTL food and beverage loads as well as produce. We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Freight Agents to join a dynamic team that is constantly growing. We're looking for someone who have experience on the customer side of the business with a focus on bringing in new accounts. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to expand the book of business. Secure new accounts and manage the sales process from start to finish. Negotiate rates and contracts with customers and carriers. Communicate effectively with customers, carriers, and internal departments to provide excellent customer service. Monitor shipments and resolve any issues that may arise. Keep up-to-date on industry trends and developments to stay competitive. QUALIFICATIONS: At least 2 years of experience in the transportation or logistics industry, preferably in a sales or customer service role. Proven track record of bringing in new accounts and expanding the book of business. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Knowledge of food and beverage loads and produce transportation preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office and transportation management systems.
