This dual-role professional will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs and ensuring successful execution, on time and within budget. Clients include both private and municipal projects. Familiarity with NYSDOT specifications and materials. Key Responsibilities: Estimating Duties: Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects based on architectural and engineering plans, specifications, and related documents. Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids. Conduct site visits to assess constructability and gather relevant data. Maintain and update cost databases and historical pricing records. Lead pre-bid meetings and coordinate proposal submissions. Identify value engineering options and potential cost savings. Project Management Duties: Oversee construction projects from award to completion. Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and logistics plans. Lead project meetings with clients, architects, and subcontractors. Monitor project progress and proactively address issues or delays Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Track change orders, RFI submissions, and subcontractor performance. Mentor junior estimators and project engineers.
