Description
As a member of Apple's commercial litigation team, you will not be merely monitoring outside counsel. Rather, you will personally be formulating and driving strategy as well as working with a number of cross‑functional teams and stakeholders across all product areas. The position requires a high degree of self‑sufficiency, independent judgment, and a trial‑focused approach. Travel is anticipated. You will operate as part of a supportive and fun team of lawyers, legal specialists, and support staff who work closely together to protect Apple's interests.
Minimum Qualifications
4+ years of major law firm and/or in‑house litigation experience, including experience with competition‑related litigation, subpoenas, and other investigations.
JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong technology interest and aptitude.
Trial experience and experience beyond competition related litigation.
Excellent communication, analytical, organization, and negotiation skills are essential.

Under the direction of the Senior Case Manager, the BI Case Manager serves both the University and the individual student by providing a coordinated institutional response. The Behavioral Intervention Case Manager's non-clinical role is to assess threats/risks to self and community, advocate for and assist. This role will work with students to provide them with or connect them to the appropriate resources, while considering what is best for them academically and personally. All non-clinical case managers have responsibilities in providing direct support, risk assessment, internal/external referrals, outreach/training/education, and assessment.
Key Responsibilities
* Behavioral Intervention Case managers address situations defined by the NABITA rubric as elevated to critical that may include a visible incident involving University or local law enforcement, student death, victim or perpetrator of crime, victim of on or off campus accident including other campus community members, victim of natural disaster, on campus injury, or students affected by campus events or other student conduct.
* Services include but are not limited to:
* Providing assessment, advocacy, resources and referrals as well as follow-up services for students that are experiencing significant physical, mental, psychological, and life management difficulties.
* In this capacity, BI Case Managers work closely with key offices (University Housing Services, University Police, Counseling & Psychological Services, Faculty Affairs, Equal Opportunity and Employee Relations, Student Conduct and Ethical Development, University Personnel).
* Duties include providing information and training for the campus community; fielding calls, emails, and responding to referrals regarding concerning behaviors; coordinating responses and services for individuals; maintaining the Behavioral Intervention Team database; undertaking research on national best practices; attending weekly meetings; and participating on other committees dealing with campus safety.
* Support students struggling to function in the university system, those with current and emerging mental, psychological, or physical health issues, and students experiencing issues adjusting to academic and social life.
* Coordinate services and provide referrals to the appropriate resources on campus including outside agencies and providers such as the Employee Assistance Program. The position also oversees a comprehensive program to identify and manage students, faculty and staff at risk.

POSITION SUMMARY

Secure informed consent for family participation in program evaluation/resource activities.
Conduct periodic home visits to assess family resources and needs.
Work in collaboration with other program staff and Therapists to monitor, track, and coordinate services for children and parents.
Assist parents with understanding and implementing the Treatment Plan in order to encourage and promote their overall development, including achievement of self-sufficiency, as well as positive development outcomes for their children.
Collaborate with all appropriate staff to facilitate children's transitions.
Assist in parenting activities, encourage parent participation in program activities, and obtain feedback from parents regarding the level of satisfaction with the services they receive.
Maintain records and document services in a timely manner.
Collect and enter service data into management information system.
Participate in the local and statewide evaluation and ensure compliance.
Attend team meetings, staff meetings, staff trainings, collaborations, and planning meetings.
Participates in all required program trainings.

Activities might involve membership of a PQI committee or work group, service as a peer reviewer, data collection for PQI and evaluation purposes, completion of PQI questionnaires and surveys or participation in focus groups, or other activities as identified by PQI committees or work groups.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Associate or bachelor's degree in social services, human services or related (or 2 years of equivalent years of experience) preferred.
Basic skills in crisis intervention, suicide assessment, conflict resolution, and interpersonal communication.
One year's experience providing services in schools, case management and group facilitation to at-risk youth and their families preferred.
Knowledge of Santa Clara County resources.
Flexible schedule and daily travel required, which includes evenings.
Program/client base includes Gilroy, Morgan Hill Unified and Oak Grove School Districts.
LICENSE(S):
California driver's license and good DMV report (and ability to be insured by RCS' insurance carrier).
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Good organization and time management skills.
Strong computer, written and verbal skills required.
Will need skills in engaging and working with others from diverse ethnic and cultural groups.
Work effectively in a team environment or independently.
Able to work collaboratively, maintain a positive perspective, and work creatively to resolve complex issues.
Bi-lingual English/Spanish speaking required.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to meet and receive a criminal records clearance as required by Title XXII licensing regulations.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
The following are required in day-to-day performance of the duties of this position:
Sitting, walking, standing, grasping (simple), and visual/auditory acuity are constantly required (over 2/3 of the workday).
Bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, lifting, reaching, and pushing/pulling are required occasionally (under 1/3 of the workday).

What You Will Do to Change Lives
Under direct supervision, the Case Manager II serves as a primary support and case manager for individuals with mental illness and other co-occurring disorders by assisting them to live as independently as possible in their chosen community.

Expected starting wage range is $24.59 - $29.64. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.
What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)
