You will report to the crisis stabilization facility to work with the mental health clients, work with the treatment team, communicate with stakeholders in the community, and complete vital documentation. Case Mangers also host skill building and recreational groups onsite to aide in client recovery.
This position is onsite in Kaneohe. The facility operates 24/7/365. No on-call is required. This facility is an indoor/outdoor therapeutic environment with ramps, stairs, and gravel/uneven ground.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Summary of Program and Position:
Voluntary Case Management (VCM) program serves families on Oahu who have been referred by Child Welfare Services (CWS) after a report to the Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline has been made and the family has been identified as moderate to moderate high risk. Each family will be assigned a case manager who will address the range of family system issues that place children at risk of child abuse and neglect. They may also be assigned a skill builder who will work with the family to increase skills such as, but not limited to, parenting skills, co-parenting skills, problem solving skills, and stress management skills.
The Case Manager provides voluntary, culturally appropriate, and strengths-based services related to child safety concerns to families referred by the Department of Human Services who are moderate to high risk for child abuse and neglect. These services are focused on addressing all reported concerns, increasing parents' ability to establish and maintain safety for their children, meet their children's needs, problem solve, and access community resources. Services are provided at the home or other “natural” environments preferred by the families. The Case Manager works with referred clients to engage families, refer, and coordinate services, plan, ensure children's safety, provide parenting and family strengthening activities including persistent and creative outreach, monitor progress and document family status. This position is under the direct supervision of Program Supervisor.
Essential Duties:
Ensures that the delivery of service is done in a manner consistent with the standards and guidelines established by the funding agencies, state law, and the Parents And Children Together policies and procedures.
Provides assessment and lead case management services that ensure that families gain access to appropriate resources in an efficient and timely manner.
Assesses each family's strengths and weaknesses, identifies their needs, and develops goals and objectives as part of the Family Partnership Plan and Family Partnership Plan Activities developed with the family. Links families to needed community resources and conducts follow up activities as needed, teaching the family to identify and access resources throughout the process. Ensures all services on the Family Partnership Plan and the Family Partnership Planning activities are in progress and/or completed.
Meets at least once a month with the Program Supervisor to discuss progress on all families, and notifies their supervisor of progress, challenges, and any significant and critical issues, including incident reports. Consults weekly with Program Supervisor on top tier families and as needed for a family in crises. Case consultation with supervisor includes following recommended actions and the review and approval of all reports by supervisor.
Completes clear, concise, and non-judgmental written and electronic documentation, such as initial assessments, monthly updates, and closing reports, and ensuring that all paperwork is completed and submitted in a timely manner for review and approval by the Program Supervisor.

OUTDOOR SPORTS FOCUS:
This Youth Specialist is responsible for the planning and leading of arts and crafts activities that foster creativity, skill development, and a passion for the arts among our participants. The Youth Specialist works with the Youth Leaders to guide the academic and social development of children, ensuring a safe, enriching, and healthy learning environment. The Youth Specialist works with the Site Coordinator in using a variety of resources, to introduce new skills through the execution of activities and assists them as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Develop and plan a variety of outdoor sports and recreational activities that are age-appropriate and cater to the diverse interests and abilities of participants.
Organize and prepare all necessary equipment and supplies for each activity.
Demonstrate proper techniques and provide clear instructions and rules for each sport or activity.
Lead and supervise outdoor sports activities, ensuring all participants are actively engaged and having fun.
Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages teamwork, respect, and good sportsmanship among participants.
Monitor participant behavior and intervene when necessary to maintain a safe and supportive environment.
Ensure that all activities are conducted safely and that participants are aware of and adhere to safety guidelines.
Conduct routine checks of equipment and facilities to ensure they are safe and in good condition.
Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive and effective team environment.
Provide constructive feedback and suggestions for improving the outdoor sports program.
Maintain an inventory of all sports and recreational equipment and ensure equipment is stored properly and in good condition, and report any damages or needs for replacement.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of YMCA mission, purpose and goals, childcare policies and YMCA standards; ensures the program meets the highest standards of excellence.
Works with supervisor to ensure programs and services meet community needs to include supervising existing program activities, establishing new program activities, and expanding the program within the community as needed. Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information.
Assures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as they relate to program areas, including ADA accommodations where appropriate; ensures that YMCA program standards are met and safety procedures followed.
Adheres to policies, standard operating procedures, and handbooks related to boundaries with youth.
Participates and attends all required abuse risk management training.
Adheres to standards & procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising youth.
Reports any suspicious, inappropriate behaviors and policy violations to the supervisor immediately and complies with mandated YMCA and State of Hawaii abuse reporting requirements.
Reinforces staff and volunteers to adhere to policies and procedures related to abuse risk.
Responds seriously and confidentially to reports of suspicious and inappropriate behaviors, and responds quickly to policy and procedure violations using the organization's progressive disciplinary procedures.
Complies with the YMCA and State of Hawaii abuse reporting requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.

The Sex Abuse Treatment Center (SATC) of the Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is a statewide program established in 1976 in response to the community's concern over the absence of medical, psychological and legal support services for victims and the absence of police reporting. Today it is recognized for its leadership and expertise in providing treatment services for survivors of sexual assault, preventing sexual violence and effecting change through public policy, awareness and education. Our mission is to support the emotional healing process of those sexually assaulted in Hawai'i, to increase community awareness about their needs and to reduce the incidence of all forms of sexual assault. Through research and education we also aim to improve clinical practices. By promoting and engaging in public policy we are changing public perceptions of sexual violence, overcoming barriers to treatment and prevention, and ensuring effective criminal justice practices.
As a Crisis Worker Trainee, you will go through a comprehensive training program made up of both didactic and on the job training to prepare you for the role of Crisis Worker for the Sex Abuse Treatment Center (SATC). Crisis Workers provide compassionate, front-line intervention and support services to adults and youth who have been sexually assaulted. This includes providing crisis support to sexual assault victims and their families both in person and over the phone; assisting individuals with reporting to the police if appropriate; and coordinating the acute forensic examination. Crisis Workers team with SATC physicians in the provision of medical-legal services which address the medical concerns of survivors following victimization and includes the collection and preservation of medical-legal evidence. Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees will transition into the Crisis Worker position and become an important part of a system of care for victims. Job Description
Come a join of CER Family! Our team is expanding and looking for new team members (full-time and part-time) for our overnight shifts at our Crisis Stabilization Facility - Ekolu!
You will be developing clinically based treatment relationships with persons diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness and helping them integrate into the community using a structured recovery plan: obtaining psychiatrist visits, medications, housing, substance abuse treatment, legal coordination and other services.
You will report to the crisis stabilization facility to work with the mental health clients, work with the treatment team, communicate with stakeholders in the community, and complete vital documentation. Case Mangers also host skill building and recreational groups onsite to aide in client recovery.
This position is onsite in Kaneohe. The facility operates 24/7/365. No on-call is required. This facility is an indoor/outdoor therapeutic environment with ramps, stairs, and gravel/uneven ground.
**Currently Hiring for Overnight Shifts:
Overnight Shift 11pm-7am
Full time: Four or five 8-hour shifts (32-40 hours per week)

Part time: Two 8-hour shifts (16 hours per week)

Your treatment team includes managers with an open-door policy and licensed professionals who are always available to consult with you at any time.

We provide ample training on evidence-based practices and community resources. Our approach to treatment is highly team oriented, so you always have the support of your peers and supervisors.
Requirements
Required High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
Preferred Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Health, Nursing, Counseling (or similar degree with course work in psychology).
Preferred 6-12 months supervised experience (work, volunteer, or a combination) with at least one of the following populations: severely mentally ill (SMI/SPMI), developmentally disabled (DD), elderly, children, or other special needs populations.
Preferred: Access to a vehicle and valid driver's license, clean driving abstract, and valid safety check. We do have non-driving positions available but paid at a lower rate of pay.
People who do well in this role are passionate about helping people, is skilled in communication, time management, and are able to respond calmly under pressure/during crisis situations.
