Responsibilities
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that align with the YMCA's curriculum and educational standards.

Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by following established health, safety, and supervision protocols.
Establish and maintain open and professional communication with families, providing updates on children's progress and development.

Uphold all YMCA policies and state licensing regulations to ensure compliance with childcare standards.

Qualifications
Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Experience: Prior experience working in an early childhood education setting preferred.
Skills: Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, actively engage with children, and maintain energy throughout the workday.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage a classroom of up to 10 infants alongside another dedicated teacher, ensuring a low student-to-teacher ratio and personalized attention.

Schedule & Shifts:
Our standard shift for an Infants Teacher is 8:30am - 5pm, including a one-hour paid break. We do our best to honor shift preferences and maintain consistency, though specific schedules cannot be guaranteed.

Description
Providence Preparatory Academy is a Christian, Classical, Collaborative-Model School now hiring passionate, professional, and skilled teaching staff. Grammar Level (K-5th grade) teachers will be on campus 2 days/week. Grade-level teachers will be expected to work full days on the on-campus days and support parents on the satellite days.
Responsibilities and Duties
Instruct students in a biblical worldview in word and deed
Create and execute lesson plans
Provide Weekly Assignment Sheets to guide and direct student satellite days
Communicate regularly and effectively with parents (co-teachers) regarding student progress and satellite day assignments
Qualifications
The following qualifications are required for any applicant
A Christian exhibiting spiritual growth and involvement in his or her local church
A love for learning, love of teaching, and a passion for inspiring students in similar pursuits
Hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree OR have equivalent curriculum, classroom, or scholastic experience
Ability to articulate the Gospel and integrate it into lessons and classroom culture
Ability to communicate effectively with parents
The following qualifications are desired for all applicants, but not required
Two years of teaching experience
Experience with the classical model of education and classical curricula
Proficiency in web-based school management software
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
Compensation
Teacher salary is determined based on qualifications and experience. The rates are competitive with current pay rates for similar private education in the Wilmington Area. No health or retirement benefits are included at this time.
Salary: $14,000 to $16,000
Schedule: Monday to Friday; only on campus for instruction on Tuesday and Thursday
