Responsibilities:
All our Crew Members are vital to the successful operation of our restaurants. There are two ways to become a Pizza Ranch Crew Member. You can apply for either a Front of the House (Dining Room), or Back of the House (Kitchen). The responsibilities below will give you a general idea of the types of activities involved in both of these departments.
Back of House Support Duties-Food Preparation and Safety, Processing Orders, Pizza, Chicken, Dish Room order and cleanliness, Out the Door Order coordination Could include, some, all or none of the duties.
The exact position will be determined post interview.
Qualifications, Skills, and/or Competencies:
• Ability to be mobile and/or on your feet for extended periods of time during entire shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* General responsibility of preparing food for various university customers in a pleasing, safe and sanitary manner.
* Responsible for the timely preparation, set-up, clean-up and service of all food in the University Dining Services.
* Keep accurate records for the efficiency of the kitchen and ensure that safety and sanitation regulations are met.
* Assist in the supervision of student workers in the Food Service Unit.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Food and Beverage Assistant ("F&B Assistant") will serve as a front line supervisor of a diversified business that includes a full services grill, kitchen, fast food service, concession stands, mobile food carts, online meals, team meals, and catering services. The F&B Assistant must have the ability to effectively manage part-time staff, adhere to cash handling policies, and ensure efficient operation of all food and beverage outlets.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Work as a team player with other members of management to ensure continuity and teamwork is displayed, embraced and leveraged at all times
Direct and lead all aspects of the concession stand staff during events
Assist with coordinating training activities inclusive of all food and beverage locations and roles for production and service employees
Assist in managing the daily operations of concession stands by overseeing all part time staff members to ensure they are following company policies and performing their job duties properly in the absence of the F&B Manger
Ensure that all patrons are treated respectfully and accommodated efficiently according to their needs
Ensure that all service staff are trained in proper customer service skills and techniques to deliver high quality service to patrons
Work closely with the F&B Manager and other management staff to ensure that the food and beverage service meets the needs of customers
Maintain proper levels of food, drinks, and other items needed for efficient sales and operation
Assist in developing schedules for each of the food and beverage outlets based on business volume and staff availability
Monitor the condition of the kitchen to ensure that it is clean, safe, and comfortable for guests
Responsible for closing, restocking, and cleaning of all food and beverage outlets during events
Ensure all labor laws are meet within the concession stands
Assist with event catering needs. i.e.- communication, sales, and setup
Ensure the venue is operating within all food and beverage health codes, proper food preparation, cooking guidelines and sanitation requirements
Assist with and manage all aspects of the Food and Beverage inventory including executing weekly/monthly inventories, food ordering, invoicing, pricing and cost controls
Adhere to all cash handling policies to ensure the highest possible integrity of our cash flow is managed and achieved
Maintain a level of personal and professional integrity as a representative of Rocky Top Sports World community we represent the City of Gatlinburg and the County of Sevier
All other duties as assigned by management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
TN Food Certification Permit within 90 days of hire
Ability to operate all kitchen equipment
Working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and POS Systems
Demonstrated ability to teach cash handling, POS operation, food safety and handling guidelines
Willingness to engage in continuing education to meet all of the requirements of this position
Initiative, drive, and dedication
Must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and negotiating skills
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have strong organizational skills
Must be able to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays
