As a Horizontal Construction Engineer, you'll operate heavy construction equipment like bulldozers, tractors, backhoes, cranes, excavators, and road graders to help pave the way for fellow Soldiers and to make room for construction projects. Without safe roads to travel, it's hard for Soldiers to move around, especially in unfamiliar territory. You'll also assist Army engineers to analyze construction site needs and transport heavy construction equipment from one site to another.

Responsible for being mindful of controlling crew costs including effective use of manpower, proper work methods, amount of trimming, and operation of equipment.
Considers inclement weather conditions and determines when to start or stop work, dependent upon its effect on employees and the nature of the work.
Safeguards employees and public from hazards in and around work area. Cooperates with customer, police, and fire departments when blocking street or driveways. We are seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher II to work on our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for finishing concrete surfaces using hand and power tools and assisting with the supervision of Concrete Finisher I personnel. As a key member of our team, the Concrete Finisher II will work closely with other crew members and subcontractors to ensure that projects are completed to the highest level of quality.
Responsibilities:
Finish concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
Pour and spread concrete to the required thickness and consistency
Smooth and level concrete surfaces using trowels and other tools
Create concrete forms and frameworks as needed
Follow safety protocols and wear protective gear as required
Communicate regularly with other crew members and subcontractors to ensure that work is completed on schedule and within budget
Develop and maintain relationships with crew members and subcontractors to ensure that they are aware of project schedules and deadlines
Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction projects

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in concrete finishing preferred
2+ years of experience in concrete finishing, with experience in a construction setting preferred

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze project data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Experience with government contracts and compliance is a plus

Installation of up-top equipment including masts, clamping, bracing, supports, antennas, RRUs, cabling, bolting, shooting proper azimuth within tolerances, reading maps and a compass, torquing to spec, labeling, picture-taking, documentation, plumb and tilt readings with smart level, etc. Assisting with integrating all closeout requirements.
Perform coax, fiber, line, and hybrid cable installations, connector installation, sweep and test assisting, weatherproofing, color-coding, labeling, etc. Connect coax feedlines and jumpers per piping diagrams and support and fasten adequately for a quality, lasting installation.
Complete grounding, terminations, fastening, proper bolting and antioxidant use, support of leads, cadwelding as required, etc.
Assist with overall tasks required to build and install a site per customer specs, complete daily Jobsite Hazard Assessment (JHA) forms, assist with overall crew work, maintenance of vehicles and equipment, etc.
Ensure a high level of safety and quality control requirements are upheld and mentor less experienced crew members in safety awareness. Must be able to lead safety meetings when required.

Assist in managing the schedule laid out by the Logistics and Warehouse Operations Leadership
Set daily objectives and communicate to employees
Ensure all appropriate KPI communication reaches all Shipping Associates
Guide the crew to align with the strategy for 100% attainment in both picking accuracy and loading/unloading time
