Position Summary
Under the direction of the facility Coding and Reimbursement Manager, conducts coding quality reviews and audits of chart documentation to assess accuracy, ensure compliance with federal and payer policies, and identifies areas for improvement for hospital outpatient coding. Develops and delivers training on coding accuracy and compliance, staying updated on regulations and providing expert guidance to coders. Provides ongoing coding education and training to coding team and serves as mentor to all new coding team members. Serves as a subject matter expert and resource for coders, providers, and other staff on coding questions, regulatory changes, and best practice. Prepares reports of findings and meets with coders and Coding Leadership to provide education and training on accurate coding practices and compliance issues.
Has thorough knowledge of acute care facility guidelines, modifiers, sequencing rules and the NCCI (National Correct Coding Initiative) edits, OCE (Outpatient Code Editor) edits, Official Guidelines for Coding and reporting for ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT-4, and HCPCS coding conventions, APC payment classifications and Medicare Conditions of Participation. Will assist the Coding and Reimbursement Manager on preparing presentations and/or interdepartmental feedback.
Responsible for conducting coding and billing training programs for billing and coding specialists. Other duties will include implementing coding department policies and procedures and assisting with reviewing and appealing coding denials.

Standard Work: Outpatient Coding Quality Educator Specialist
Actively participates in team development, achieving dashboards, and in accomplishing departmental goals and objectives.
Performs internal quality assessment reviews on outpatient facility coders to ensure compliance with national coding guidelines and the LRH coding policies for complete, accurate and consistent coding which result in appropriate reimbursement and data integrity. Helps to coordinate and direct the day-to-day coding educational activities. Facilitates and provides coding educational classes/presentations to staff, as required/when needed.
Communicates outcomes to the coding team to improve the accuracy, integrity and quality of patient data, to ensure minimal variation in coding practices and to improve the quality of physician documentation within the body of the medical record to support code assignments. Responsibilities also include assisting Coding Leadership in root cause analysis of coding quality issues, performing account reviews, and preparing training documents to assist with coding quality action plans.
Assists in the review, improvement of processes, education, troubleshooting and recommend prioritization of issues. Researches coding opportunities and escalates as needed. Communicates Coding topics and/or question trends to Coding Leadership for global education.
Prepares and presents coding compliance status reports to the Coding and Reimbursement Manager and Health Information Management AVP.
Assists in ensuring coding staff adherence with coding guidelines and policy. Demonstrates and applies expert level knowledge of medical coding practices and concepts.
Coaches and mentors coding staff as they develop and grow their coding skills. Provides skilled coding support through regularly scheduled coding meetings and as the need arises. Provide one-on-one coaching and support to coding professionals, offering constructive feedback and guidance to improve coding accuracy and documentation practices.

Minimum Training and Experience:
* Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two (2) years of full-time experience in a mental health, addictions treatment, or medical care setting. A bachelor's degree in human services may be substituted for the two (2) years of experience.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position with the Orange County Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is primarily responsible for certifying potential low risk participants to the program and for providing nutrition education and breastfeeding education.
Certifies clients for participation in the WIC Program in accordance with DHM 150-24. Follows policies and procedures for collection, entry and management of data, as well as operation of WIC computer equipment as stated in DHM 150-24 and the WIC System Guide.
Provides culturally relevant nutrition education on an individual basis in the areas of infant, childhood, prenatal and postnatal (including breastfeeding) nutrition to promote development and maintenance of good nutrition. Develops, monitors, evaluates and revises nutrition education plans for individual clients not at medically high risk. Selects, develops and evaluates client educational materials. Coordinates nutrition education services for assigned clients and makes referrals for appropriate services.
Evaluates program eligibility status of each client to ensure that a valid issuance of electronic benefits can be performed. Issues WIC Program electronic benefits to certified participants in accordance with procedures outlined in DHM 150-24 and the Florida WiSE System Manual. Schedules appointments for participants through the WIC appointment system. Reviews use of electronic benefits in approved grocery stores. Answers questions regarding access to WIC program services. Whenever possible, the determination of income eligibility and/or nutrition risk eligibility and issuance functions must be separate in order to ensure program integrity as stated in DHM 150-24, page 3-1, section 3-2c.
Prepares employee activity reports of time and services provided and summarizes nutrition services and activities at biweekly intervals. Prepares and submits requests for travel reimbursements according to established format and procedures.
Attends and participates in staff meetings, in-service training sessions, and other professional and staff development activities.

This position will be responsible for the delivery of pilot training courses through direct daily interface with Captains and First Officers of Flexjet aircraft and proficiency evaluations as directed. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Simulator flight training to Flexjet pilots
Classroom Instruction in all subjects
Assist in the development of courseware and training material to ensure a well-developed and accurately structured pilot training program
Support the development and certification of training curriculums including simulator, FTD and FMS training devices
Pilot Training Instruction deliver exceptional initial and recurrent pilot training instruction
Deliver new hire and recurrent pilot training that addresses Crew Resource Management, Flexjet Standard Operating Procedures, Checklist Philosophy, Roles & Responsibilities, Performance goals, Forms & Records, Briefing/Debriefing methods and others. Maintain currency on regulatory issues that impact Flexjet Flight Operations

Providing accurate data and input to OT in a timely manner for Evaluations, Re-evaluations, or discharge summaries
Contribute to the occupational therapist's development of individualized intervention plans of care
