Position Summary:
The Family Advocate is responsible for engaging familiesin program services through meaningful relationships. This includes assisting familiesin identifying strengths and needs, connecting them to agency and community resources, and fostering their confidence as parents and community members. QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this position successfully, an individual must demonstrate regular, predictable attendance and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and skill required. The individual must be able to successfully pass background checks.
Education/Certification/Licensure:
High School Diploma and credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or a related field within eighteen months of hire.
Valid driver's license
Experience Required:
1-2 years previous experience preferred
Spanish speaking is preferred

A Day in the Life:
Responsibilities include:
* Prioritize work of subordinate supervisors and staff within the department and ensures that deadlines are met. This includes assessment of the risk to the child when complaint calls are received, and staff is not available to respond to all calls.
* Supervise and assign work to subordinate supervisors. Sets standards for work based on federal, state, and judicial system regulations and guidelines. Monitors the flow and quality of work performed. Schedules on call rotation of Family Case Managers 2's.
* Reassign work to maintain equitable work distribution and to cover vacant caseloads.
* Ensure effective monitoring and accountability of staff to meet the best interest of children specifically for direct reports and ensures accountability of the direct reports to set similar goals and objectives for the staff they supervise.
* Ensure effective monitoring and accountability of staff to promote and model responsible case planning in connecting families with appropriate resources. Manage employee travel, time reporting and overtime to ensure maximum efficiency in case management and costs.
* Establish and/or communicate and interpret policy and objectives to staff.
* Effectively trains Family Case Managers and other staff on new programs and developments, as well as provides training to new staff.
* Identify management and organizational problems and provides training and development opportunities to resolve the problems.
* Identify employee training needs and prepares employee training plans.
* Conduct performance appraisals and maintains a fact file for all assigned employees.
* Interview applicants for vacant positions and makes promotional and hiring recommendations to the Local Office Director.
* Review and/or authorize leave requests for Family Case Managers and other staff under their supervision.

* Assist the Director or Division Manager in establishing long-term goals and objectives for the county office or division. Sets and implements goals and objectives within the department both long and short term.
* Ensure that Family Case Managers and other staff are following the Practice Model, and other policies, regulations, and operating procedures. Assures that contacts between staff and clients receiving services, as well as, between staff and all other involved social service providers and/or the public are conducted in a professional and ethical manner.
* Recruit, select, onboard, and train employees to ensure role responsibilities and expectations are clearly understood while providing opportunities to continue professional development.
* Set expectations, measure progress, provide ongoing feedback, and evaluate the performance of employees. Ensure work adheres to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures.

The Case Coordinator serves an integral role in reviewing, assessing, and responding to safety concerns involving students at the West Lafayette campus in addition to serving as a consultant to Purdue staff at additional campuses including Purdue Polytechnic Institute Statewide and Purdue Indianapolis.
This role is highly collaborative and requires nuanced conversations with campus offices, community agencies, and families regarding safety and wellbeing concerns. In addition to receiving communication from law enforcement agencies and treatment facilities, this professional receives, reviews, and assigns "Student of Concern Reports" to appropriate offices for outreach and support.
Reports that are deemed at moderate to elevated levels of risk are assigned to this role for outreach and non-clinical case management. This includes students experiencing significant mental health events, those who may pose a threat to the safety of others, and other personal crises. This professional develops intervention plans with students providing referrals to appropriate campus and community resources. This position serves as a member of the University's Behavior Intervention Team, providing the team with information on identified students of concern. In addition to providing direct service, this professional engages in intentional and continuous efforts to improve services to students, which includes improving internal processes and procedures.
This position provides education and outreach to the campus community through educational presentations and trainings. Often, this team is requested to join in meetings with other offices to provide both counsel on the particular situation and advocacy to the students involved.
The anticipated salary for this position is $54,530 per year.
This position follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring approximately 80% of work hours to be performed on-site and 20% remotely.

Incumbent serves as Intake Case Coordinator for the Tippecanoe County CASA Program, responsible for intake and direct supervision of all unassigned cases and management of cases until they are assigned to a CASA Volunteer, and/or Staff Advocates.
* Processes new cases and organizes initial intake assessment for the program file, such as determining appropriate volunteer-case match, triaging, and completing well-being assessments. Consults with other staff to determine case assignment.
* Attends all emergency detention hearings and takes notes. Attends court hearings and facilitations for all unassigned cases until a CASA is assigned.
* Assists case statistic reports.
* Assists with research and coordination of educational in-service training for volunteers.
* Assists with program events as requested by Program Director, such as volunteer appreciation and recognition activities and events.
* Maintains electronic case files.
* Inputs dates and times of future court hearings and/or case facilitations in the CASA Outlook calendar.

* Enters case data into Optima (CASA database) and maintains database. Communicates with Superior Court 3 staff regarding discrepancies in QUEST and CASA case information.
* Utilizes various databases, such as Superior Court 3 database (QUEST) and MyCase to research information and dates for cases, document details related to unassigned cases, and maintain an accurate schedule for facilitations and court hearings on unassigned cases.
* Attends staff meetings and in-service training and assists in evaluation of the Program as requested.
* Periodically testifies in legal proceedings/court as required.
* Performs related duties as assigned.
Requirements
I. JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* Baccalaureate Degree in social service related area or equivalent combination of education and experience. Completion of, or ability to complete, National CASA training curriculum.
* Must be at least 21 years of age.
* Ability to comply with the training and certification standards of Tippecanoe CASA, the Indiana Office of GAL/CASA, and National CASA including completion of the 30-hour GAL/CASA Preservice training and 12 hours of continuing training each year as approved by the Indiana Office of GAL/CASA.
* Previous related experience in child advocacy, child welfare, and/or child focused social issues and knowledge and understanding of issues and dynamics within familiesin crisis relating to child abuse and neglect preferred.
* Working knowledge of QUEST, juvenile justice and/or social services systems, Indiana Code, and Child In Need of Services (CHINS) law, and ability to apply such knowledge to a variety of interrelated tasks.
* Working knowledge of standard English grammar, spelling and punctuation, and ability to prepare various documents and make simple arithmetic calculations.

Essential Duties
The Clinical BCBA creates and supervises the implementation of new skill acquisition programs and behavior support plans, and provides feedback and training to RBTs as needed
Captures and contrives opportunities to teach staff and patients in the natural environment and teaches others to do the same
Conducts functional assessments and analyses
Participates in assessment process
Attends and participates in parent meetings, staff meetings, trainings and other meetings as needed
Provides information about programming to parents
Attends IEP meetings as needed for the progress of the patient's therapy goals
Offers feedback on staff performance reviews
Assists with new RBT training
Participates in research and presentation opportunities at local and national conferences

The **Behavioral Health Case Manager I** is responsible for performing case management telephonically within the scope of licensure for members with behavioral health and substance abuse or substance abuse disorder needs.

+ Conducts assessments to identify individual needs and develops care plan to address objectives and goals as identified during assessment.

+ Coordinates with internal and external resources to meet identified needs of the members and collaborates with providers.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Requires MA/MS in social work, counseling, or a related behavioral health field or a degree in nursing, and **minimum of 3 years clinical experience in social work counseling with broad range of experience with complex psychiatric and substance abuse or substance abuse disorder treatment;** or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
+ **Current, active, unrestricted license such as either:** **RN (** **must have exp, in behavioral health** **) LCSW LMSW LMHC LPC , or LMFT** to practice as a health professional within the scope of licensure **in the state of Indiana required** .
**Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:**
+ Experience in case management and telephonic and/or in person coaching with members with a broad range of complex psychiatric/substance abuse and/or medical disorders preferred.
