Summary: Greets and seats customers in a fashion that contributes to the smooth, efficient operation and keeps the area around the front entrance and hostess station as clean and orderly as possible by performing the following duties. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Meets arriving customers as they enter with cordial greeting.* Escorts to assigned areas and solicits rapport in order to accommodate special needs or requests.* Notifies servers of new seats in their section to ensure the customers receive immediate and proper attention.* Maintains a highly visible appearance during entire shift by remaining at the hostess stand.* Elicits business off-property by handing out fliers.* Works as coat-check attendant.* Maintains a clean hostess stand by assisting with vacuuming, sweeping, general cleaning, and side work duties.* Checks the proper set-up of tables and seating prior to opening.* Reports in writing any maintenance or housekeeping discrepancies to management immediately.* Exhibits a professional appearance and maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.* Performs other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.
