Fahrmen Center provides inpatient addiction services for both men and women, as well as restorative justice programming for individuals involved with correctional systems.
Position Overview
Under supervision, this role involves providing care, services, and treatment to clients in our Addictions and Restorative Justice (ARJ) programs. Clients may present with substance use disorders and/or criminogenic risk factors, requiring responsive and compassionate support.
Key Responsibilities

Collect urine specimens and administer breathalyzer tests
Support, interact with, and monitor residents while serving as a positive role model

DUTIES: The position is a member of the Client Support Services (CSS) unit of LTS and provides campus-wide technical consulting and support for hardware, software and related systems for the Apple mac OS, Apple iOS, and Microsoft Windows computing platforms. In-depth knowledge of these platforms, and the hardware they are used on is critical to this position's success. This position is also responsible for assisting in the deployment and maintenance of a variety of other types of technology residing in offices and other specialized locations across the UW-Eau Claire campus. This position works closely with a wide range of IT professionals across several LTS units. In coordination with other CSS staff, this position works with, and will assist in, supervising and mentoring student employees.
This position works with the LTS Consulting group who facilitates the purchase of IT related hardware and software for campus. The accurate upkeep of IT asset inventory records by the CSS unit for the entire campus is critical to supporting the Consulting function, as well as its own team functions. The CSS team is also responsible for properly handling the disposal of technology for campus.
Being able to handle difficult and complex assignments while demonstrating problem solving and troubleshooting skills is crucial to this position. Possessing an understanding of the need for establishing priorities, being able to discern the relative importance of various matters, being able to estimate the time necessary to complete tasks and being effective in addressing matters in their order of importance and in a timely manner are also very important.
THE UNIT: Learning & Technology Services consists of 40 full-time staff members along with approximately 70 part-time student employees. Computer Field Technician Position
doing hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units. To be successful in this position,
you must have prior experience with laptop and desktop hardware.
Job Details:
This is a 1099/per call position
Pay is based solely on the number of calls completed.
Calls start at $35 and go up based on distance traveled
Pay period: Every Friday after the first week worked
Tickets are run Monday-Friday during the day shift. Candidates must be regularly available a minimum of 3 weekdays to be considered.
Call volume is variable but is usually 2-5 calls per day
You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you.
You must have a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license to run these calls. You will be visiting multiple work sites throughout your day.
You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day.
You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day.
The manufacturer has completed troubleshooting and shipped a part prior to your ticket being issued to you.
You will confirm service times with the customer in your tech portal. Services will be completed at the customer site (residential and commercial)
You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite. Once all calls are completed for the day drop off the old parts with the pre-paid label that is provided.
Qualifications
Must have prior hands on experience with replacing components on laptops and desktops
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Must be comfortable with daily local travel

Qualifications
