This is a Computer Field Technician Position doing hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units. You must have prior experience with laptop and desktop hardware. As part of your onboarding, you will be certified in Dell and Lenovo. All certifications are free to you. Job Details This is a 1099 Contract position. Call volume varies but is typically between 2-5 calls per day. Pay is based on the number of calls completed. Pay starts at $35 per ticket. You will be completing hardware part replacements for Dell and Lenovo warranty services. Pay period -every Friday after the first week of completing tickets. You must have a reliable form of transportation to run these calls. You must have access to a computer and the internet to log onto your portal. Tickets are run Monday through Friday. You must be able to log into your tech portal every workday by 9 am to accept, code (update status), and map out your calls. You will be responsible for contacting your customers and confirming a window to go onsite to complete the service. Parts will be provided for you by the manufacturers. They are typically held at FedEx for you to pick up in the morning. You will be provided with shipping labels and materials to return the removed parts.

Job DescriptionSUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS The primary role of the AV Systems Device Configuration Technician is to provide device configuration, staging, and validation support for audiovisual systems prior to field deployment. This position requires foundational technical knowledge of audiovisual systems, including audio, video, control, and network-based devices, as well as the associated configuration software. The AV Systems Device Configuration Technician is responsible for ensuring equipment is properly configured, tested, documented, and prepared in accordance with engineering documentation and project requirements. This role works closely with Engineering, Programming, Project Management, and Warehouse personnel to support successful system deployment and overall project execution. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide AV system device configuration and staging support utilizing foundational skills in equipment setup, firmware loading, configuration, testing, and documentation. Configure AV devices including, but not limited to, DSPs, control processors, touch panels, cameras, displays, and network-based AV equipment under the direction of Engineering staff. Load firmware, configuration files, and system settings in accordance with engineering standards and project documentation. Assign and verify device IP addresses and confirm proper network communication between system components. Perform bench testing and basic system validation to verify device functionality prior to shipment or installation. Assist engineering and programming teams with offsite configuration and pre-commissioning tasks as required.
