Job Summary
Odyssey House Louisiana, Inc. is seeking a full-time Licensed Counselor or Social Worker. The schedule is Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm and weekends as needed. · participate in quarterly training with staff;
· complete all Incident Reports prior to the end of scheduled shift as required by Incident Policy and Procedure;
· adhere to all Louisiana Department of Health and Agency contract requirements;
· maintain COA standards and participate in COA site audits;
· collaborate with other departments;
· work with Bayou Health providers for initial authorization and concurrent authorizations;

Duties and Responsibilities
The Career Coach is the primary point of contact with the participants and others in the participant's circle of influence. The Career Coach will recruit for the program as well as seek employment and educational opportunities as participants complete the program. The Career Coach must display initiative, exercise judgment and make decisions that are consistent with program goals.
Outreach/Recruitment through attending/conducting activities in the community relating to participant development.
Assessment/Eligibility of participants per project plan.
Maintain case records detailing service needs and activities/arrangements for their fulfillment, according to data-management procedures established by program management and the funding sources.
Deliver skills training in software applications, work readiness skills and the development of basic remedial skills in math and reading.Develop presentation and facilitation skills to engage students in meeting program goals.
Deliver program curriculum/objectives in classroom/simulated workplace environment.
JobDevelopment by connect with employers and community organizations on a frequent basis to market and enrich the program and the success of the participants.
Identify and recruit target population of clients and employers.
Data and paperwork management.
Qualifications
Related Bachelor's degree, from an accredited College or University preferred.
Past experience working with the targeted population. 3+ years relevant work experience.
Demonstrated proficient in using Microsoft Office applications or online database tracking systems. Must have the ability to efficiently manage a large participant caseload (Active and Follow-up) in a fast pace environment. Knowledge and or experience with classroom management techniques.
Must have appropriate and valid state driver's license and be able to meet requirements for Eckerd's Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes.
Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.

Job Description JOB TITLE: SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELOR
INTRODUCTION:

Second Chances Addiction Recovery Center is a residential treatment facility that specializes in treating adults suffering from drug and alcohol addiction. We offer 30-day to 90-day programs, an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), aftercare, and family therapy.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Counselor is responsible for providing care and counseling to clients and their families within the various services, both inpatient and outpatient. The Counselor will be responsible for coordinating with other inpatient/outpatient substance abuse treatment professionals who provide counseling and other therapeutic services. Counselors carry a client caseload and assist in providing routine therapeutic services.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Provides highest quality of care through the counseling of clients and their families
Provides and maintains case management records completing assessments, treatment plans, counseling sessions, case notes, and discharge plans as required.
Provides and maintains documentation of case records to reflect course treatment
Provides all services in compliance with all DHH and CARF standards and guidelines
Coordinates with outlying agencies, sober-living homes, and non-profits to ensure continuity-of-care for clients
Provides feedback and coordinates efforts with the Clinical Director to ensure organizational consistency with treatment, operations, and evaluative efforts
Provides knowledge and experience in various company meetings to ensure the smooth functioning of clinical operations
Maintains knowledge and proficiency as a counseling professional for continuous development
Fosters teamwork and organizational structures to improve communication and simplify the organization
Promotes an environment that facilitates innovation, creative solutions, and empowerment
Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by Management and/or Clinical Director

Minimum Qualifications
Education
