We are seeking a Senior Product MarketingManager to join the Avathon team in Pleasanton, CA. As a solo individual contributor, you will play an essential role in defining the positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy for our industrial AI platform. Our technology optimizes critical assets, enhances worker health & safety, and orchestrates complex supply chain processes across industries such as energy (conventional & renewables), aerospace & defense, manufacturing, retail & CPG, mining and transportation.
You will be responsible for:
Positioning & messaging: Collaborate with Product, Marketing and other colleagues to develop compelling messaging and value propositions that resonate with our target audiences.
Market & competitive analysis: Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs and competitive landscapes.
Go-to-market strategy: Define and execute product marketing plans, ensuring successful launches and market adoption.
Sales enablement: Create sales collateral, battle cards and training materials to empower the sales team.
Content development: Support the production of case studies, whitepapers, analyst and media briefings, webinars and blog content that drive awareness, engagement and demand.
Customer insights: Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to craft compelling success stories.
Demand generation support: Partner with growth marketing teams to develop campaigns that drive lead generation and pipeline growth.
Please have:
Minimum 8-10+ years of experience in B2B SaaS product marketing, preferably in industrial AI, enterprise software or related fields.
Domain knowledge in one or more of the following sectors: energy (conventional & renewables), aerospace & defense, manufacturing, retail & CPG, mining, transportation (preferred), supply chain.
Proven success in defining product positioning, messaging and GTM strategies.
Experience working cross-functionally with product, sales, and marketing teams.
Strong storytelling skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with a hands-on and strategic mindset.
Pay Range: $140,000 - $160,000 base salary plus bonus. Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is not remote. Candidates must be based in the Bay Area and are expected to report to our Pleasanton office 4 days per week.

The Role
You'll be our first product marketing hire, reporting directly to our CEO. This is a foundational role: you'll own positioning, messaging, competitive intelligence, and sales enablement from the ground up. You won't inherit playbooks; you'll build them.
What You Do
Develop and refine Nectar's positioning and messaging across segments (enterprise, mid-market, emerging brands)
Build competitive intelligence programs and arm the sales team with battle cards, objection handling, and differentiation narratives
Own product launches end-to-end-from naming and positioning to enablement and launch campaigns
Create sales enablement materials: pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, ROI calculators
Partner with the sales team to understand buyer personas, refine ICP, and improve win rates
Inform product roadmap by synthesizing customer feedback, competitive trends, and market signals
Support fundraising efforts with compelling market narratives and competitive positioning
What We're Looking For
4-7 years of product marketing experience, ideally in B2B SaaS (martech, social, or commerce adjacent a plus)
Track record of owning positioning and messaging for a product or product line
Experience building sales enablement programs and partnering closely with sales teams
Strong competitive analysis skills-you know how to synthesize intel into actionable insights
Excellent writing and storytelling abilities
Comfort with ambiguity and building from scratch; startup experience preferred
Bonus: Experience at a company through Series A/B growth phase
