Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate complex procurement agreements for SaaS, enterprise software, recruiting services, employee benefits, construction and design services, and facilities support. Act as a trusted advisor on legal and commercial supplier issues to senior business leaders for client teams like People, Global Workplace, Global Recruiting, Core Technologies, and Product. Collaborate and build efficiencies with talented teams across Stripe, including Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Deal Management, Corporate Legal, Product Legal, Privacy Legal, Regulatory Legal, Intellectual Property, Security GRC, Tax, Finance & Strategy, and Third Party Risk Management. Develop and implement continuous improvement of tools, processes, training, and playbooks to help manage high-volume workstreams and educate internal and external counsel. Ensure Stripe's commercial relationships comply with applicable law, Stripe's data privacy and security policies, global privacy regulations, and global outsourced services guidelines. Identify and evaluate business and legal risks, and find creative ways to mitigate them while achieving business goals. Effectively distill and explain complex issues in a meaningful and effective way to a variety of cross-functional stakeholders. Be able to prioritize workloads and competing priorities with skillful multitasking. Spot issues, develop solutions, and counsel teams on issues relating to data protection and privacy regulations, intellectual property, risk management, compliance, and cybersecurity. Act as a responsive point of escalation for outside counsel. Who you are We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. Minimum requirements 8-10+ years of related experience working at a leading law firm and/or in-house legal department negotiating inbound services and technology contracts.
