Overview of the Role The Driver is responsible for the safe, courteous transport of senior participants to and from recreational activities, sites, and special events. He/she will be responsible for daily safety inspection checks and overall vehicle maintenance, identifying a vehicle maintenance service center or repair shop for quick servicing and repairs, daily upkeep/cleanliness of the vehicle assigned, maintaining a daily manifest of vehicle use, responsible for the delivery and pick up of program's documents and reports as needed. The Driver will also provide outreach to the community-building partnership to enhance the role of Seabury Resources for Aging. The Driver works with a significant degree of independence. Work results are periodically reviewed to ensure the achievement of goals. Bi-weekly or monthly meetings are required, and monthly reports are as needed. Department The Driver will work closely with the entire organization to provide transportation services for small groups, recreational trips for the socialization hub, and develop partnerships with the community to provide transportation throughout the D.C. metropolitan area. Responsibilities ● Responsible for daily safety inspection checks. ● Responsible for the daily upkeep/cleanliness of the vehicle, including COVID-19 precautions. ● Responsible for the safe, courteous transport of participants to and from their destination. ● Maintain a daily manifest of vehicle use. ● Keep up with vehicle maintenance as assigned by supervision. ● Responsible for delivering and picking up program documents and reports for the different departments. ● Maintain and manage a positive work environment by interacting professionally and politely with customers, co-workers, and management. ● Use daily logs to check assigned vehicles for abnormalities and report to supervisors. ● Must be sensitive to and understand the needs of the client population and able to relate effectively to a wide range of persons and groups. ● Must have experience in program management and supervision. ● Maintain the policies and procedures provided by the District of Columbia regarding COVID-19 regulations. ● Duties include transporting clients safely, maintaining accurate records, and performing pre and post-trip vehicle inspections. ● Loading and unloading of passengers on/off vehicles utilizing a four-point securement of wheelchairs and scooters ● Responsible for transporting passengers that have disabilities. ● Performs other duties as assigned. Key Qualifications ● Education: High School Diploma. Certification: CDL is a plus. ● Current Driver's License. ● Driver must be 25 years of age or older● No tickets or points on Driver's License within the last 3 years. ● Must have an accident and traffic violation-free record. ● Must be familiar with traveling in and around the Washington, DC, metropolitan area. ● Must have large vehicle driving experience of at least 3 years (12 passenger vans) ● Must be sensitive to and understand the population's needs and be able to relate effectively. ● Preferred Bilingual ● Demonstrate capacity to use skills and knowledge to perform the job. Responsibilities * Develop and drive the execution of BridgeBio's federal government affairs strategy, representing the company before Congress, federal agencies, and relevant industry groups to advance BridgeBio's policy priorities * Maintain and forge strong relationships and engage with federal legislators, staff, and Administration officials to ensure BridgeBio can have a voice in important policy discussions and decisions that impact drug development, innovation, and access to treatments * Monitor, forecast, and interpret emerging legislative and policy developments to anticipate potential impacts on BridgeBio's business, pipeline, and patients, advising internal colleagues on proactive engagement strategies * Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., Regulatory Affairs, Commercial, Corporate Communications, Patient Advocacy, and affiliate teams) to integrate government affairs insights into business and pipeline planning for early-stage, late-stage, and product-launch efforts * Educate stakeholders on federal legislative and administrative policy proposals that could impact BridgeBio * Prepare policy briefings, materials, and talking points to support company leadership and affiliate teams * Contribute to the company's Political Action Committee (PAC) strategy and engagement, ensuring alignment with policy goals Where You'll Work This is a hybrid role based in Washington, D.C., requiring weekly in-office collaboration and regular in-person engagement with policymakers. Overview of the Role The Social Services Coordinator provides Information and Referral, Individual Socialization, and Counseling Services to residents aged 60 and above living in Wards 5 and 6 of the District of Columbia. The goal is to provide older adults and their family caregivers with supportive counseling and information on resources to help maintain and improve the older adults quality of life. Services will be provided via phone, video chat, webinar, and in person at Ward 5 and 6 dining sites, Home First Residences and the lead agency office. This can be done through home visits for homebound seniors who are unable to meet virtually or speak on the phone. This is a community and office-based position with travel to Ward 5 and 6 dining sites, Home First Residences as well as an occasional home visits. Major Responsibilities/Activities Provide information on resources available in the community, including information relating to assistive technology. Facilitate referrals to senior services programs, including case management and adult protective services through the Department of Aging and Community Living (DACL). Provide support, resources, and guidance to older adults. Visit community dining sites within Ward 5 and 6 at least twice weekly to provide outreach and informational sessions on community resources. Offer telephone reassurance and meet with seniors at Ward 5 and 6 dining sites to reduce isolation and foster increased socialization. Justification should be submitted bi-weekly to the Finance and Data Administration Manager, and the associated notes should be entered into Cstars weekly. The monthly goals include Counseling, Outreach, Information, Referral, and Assistance, as well as Individual Socialization service units. Attend community events as requested by the Director. Establish in-office hours for appointments and walk-in visits one day a week. Works with the Home First Program Administrator to provide social service support to Home First Residents. On-site at Home First Residences once a week to provide support to residence and Home First administrative staff. Crisis, Intervention, Resolution, and/or Prevention Home Visits to meet with the resident, assess needs, monitor, and coordinate services. Assistance with the identification of, or transition into, a new living arrangement, assisted living community, or healthcare facility. Refer and work with the DACL case management team to provide services as needed. Assistance with application for benefits. Assist with one on-call weekend a month. Attend monthly house meetings and provide input for advisory council meetings. Attend new resident interview and assist with admission process. Key Qualifications Professional with at least two years of experience in the social services arena working with the aging population. Must possess appropriate training, education, or licensure in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field. A skilled interviewer who can ask questions and effectively use interview skills to elicit needed information from clients. Must be a skillful listener who understands the meaning of the client's statements. Ability to engage older adults in conversation and provide emotional support/counseling. Good attention to detail, documentation skills, and use of technology to enter service data. Knowledgeable of the Older Americans Act of 1965 and local resources. Must have access to an automobile five days a week for field visits. Mental health experience is a plus.
