Duties
During the course of their careers, Uniformed Division Officers carry out assignments in protection. Duties include:
Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area.
Traveling in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.
Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.
Requirements
U.S. citizenship is required.
Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
Be at least age 20 and less than age 37 at the time you receive a conditional offer of employment, unless you have previous service in a Federal Civilian Law Enforcement position covered by special law enforcement or firefighter retirement provisions, including early or mandatory retirement. Applicants with veteran's preference must receive a conditional offer of employment prior to reaching age 40 to continue in the application process.
Carry and use a firearm. Maintaining firearm proficiency is also mandatory.
Possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular. Possess corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye.
Hearing loss, as measured by an audiometer, must not exceed 25 decibels (A.S.A. or equivalent I.S.O.) in either ear in the 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz ranges. Applicants must be able to hear the whispered voice at 15 feet with each ear without the use of a hearing aid.
Submit to a drug test prior to your appointment and random drug testing while you occupy the position.
Complete 12 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA or Artesia, NM and 17 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Protects the motoring public by conducting traffic enforcement fairly, consistently and courteously to deter traffic violations and prevent traffic crashes.
Responds to all requests for assistance from public as necessary.
Determines where high crash volume locations exist and take appropriate action to reduce crashes.
Determines if violations of law or ordinance have occurred and take appropriate law enforcement action if necessary.
Manages and investigates crash scenes and properly documents all evidence and information obtained.

Salary Information
New hires currently start at $25.38 per hour once they pass the qualification to carry firearms. These positions have the following conditions of employment:
Must be at least 18 years old; possess a high school diploma, GED or HSED.
Must qualify to carry firearms and remain qualified as a condition of employment. To be qualified, must not have been convicted of a felony or any domestic abuse charges or convictions.

Duties and responsibilities:

Job Description
Our canine group, under Allied Universal Enhanced Protection Services, is hiring a SecurityOfficer - CICO. The SecurityOfficer - CICO plays a crucial role in safeguarding both personnel safety and facility security. This position is responsible for ingress to and egress at Vendor Sites. This involves inspecting and screening individuals entering and leaving Vendor secure areas. Pursuant to National Industrial Security Program (NISP) requirements, United States Citizenship is required to obtain the needed government clearance to perform the essential functions of this role.
PAY $17.25 / HOUR
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Screening:
Responsible for screening, including providing wand metal detection screening on individuals for all items and personnel going into and out of a secured area
Making sure nothing goes in or out that is not authorized by the vendor
Alarm Response:
Respond promptly to security alarms and investigate incidents
Identify and assess potential threats or breaches
Secure the premises and prevent unauthorized access until further instructions are given
Maintain detailed reports of alarm activations and actions taken
Escort Duties:
Provide safe escort services for personnel, vehicles, or valuable property
Ensure adherence to protocols during high-risk transfers or movements
Maintain situational awareness during escort operations to preempt threats
Site Inspections:
Conduct regular patrols and inspections of assigned locations
Identify vulnerabilities or irregularities and report findings to supervisors
Verify the integrity of locks, fences, gates, and security systems
Incident Reporting:
Record incidents accurately and submit comprehensive reports to the security manager
Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services as needed
Communication:
Maintain clear and professional communication with control centers, clients, and team members
Use radios, phones, or other equipment to relay information effectively
Emergency Response:
Act swiftly in emergencies, including fire, medical, or security-related incidents
Assist in evacuations or lockdowns as per the site's emergency response plan
QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):
High school diploma or equivalent
Must have an active Top-Secret Clearance or have a SECRET Clearance and be TS-eligible
Current and valid driver's license
Able to obtain and maintain an armed security guard license and firearm permits as state and local regulations require
Post hire, must be able to successfully complete all training and obtain required certifications, including CPR and First Aid/AED
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military security operations
Experience with metal detection screening devices
Ability to write detailed reports and speak clearly and effectively in English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):
Retired law enforcement or military
