ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Patrols assigned area on foot, in assigned motor vehicle, or other specialized vehicle to ensure personal, building, and equipment security. Monitors surveillance systems and reports suspicious behavior; patrols and monitors assigned parking areas and/or parking garages to provide public security and assistance.
* Monitor physical safety of campus facilities including athletic fields by securing buildings and property for unauthorized persons and/or suspicious activity.
* Enforces Marian University Code of Conduct for a safe environment.
* Provides escort services for students, visitors, staff, and faculty, as necessary provides other public assistance, such as lockout services, and routine information.
* Watches for and report irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations; contacts emergency responders, such as police, fire, and/or ambulance personnel, as required.
* Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations including but not limited to fire alarms, medical incidents, criminal activity, natural disasters, and facility evacuations, in accordance with established protocols and safety procedures.
* Provide support at the scene of emergency situations with emergency personnel assistance by providing direction and securing the area.
* Remains alert for the presence of unauthorized persons and/or security code violators; approaches suspicious persons and/or notifies police as appropriate; may confront and/or detain violators, as required, until police arrive.
* Performs checks of fire panels, mechanical rooms, fire extinguishers, AED units, cameras and other devices to ensure proper functioning.
* Maintains security controls for issued University keys; safeguards and controls issue University equipment.
* Prepares routine, standardized reports.
* Issue parking citations as appropriate.

Position : Security Guard- Full Time
Reports to: Security Manager
Job Purpose : To monitor the resort and ensure safety of guests and employees.
Schedule: 3rd Shift - 10PM-6AM
Compensation : $18/hourly
Job Summary: The Resort SecurityOfficer is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of guests, employees, visitors, and property at the resort. This role blends traditional security duties with exceptional hospitality service to create a safe, welcoming environment that enhances the guest experience. Resort Security patrols and monitors the entire Resort overnight while working with guests and employees to address issues of concern as well as safety issues. Prevent theft, violence, or infractions of all rules.
Duties
Willingness to accept the most effective role.
Foot patrol the interior and exterior of the Resort to identify and potential security and safety risks. Ability to make logical decisions based on findings and direct work.
Maintain order in the Resort by dealing with the welfare of guests, assisting with door lock problems, coordinate emergency responses in a calm and rational manner. Handle any undesirable violations of Resort/civil policy and laws as warranted.
Monitor Resort policy compliance among all team members.
Assist in delivery of guest request as needed.
Interact with guests in a professional and courteous manner.
Monitor radio communications and any applicable security cameras.
Assist other associates with any safety issues or injures.
Understand all Resort regulations and policies for guest and associate questions.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous security experience working with large volumes of people preferred.
Good at working independently and is dependable.
Current knowledge of fire, safety, and first aid. (Highly preferred not but required).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work overnight 3rd shift. (10pm-6am)
18+ at least
