Within the authority given and in conjunction with the Education and Disabilities Specialists, develop and implement an individual education program (IEP) for each child with an identified and confirmed (professionally diagnosed) disability. Conduct daily head count and complete daily attendance records Inventory, request and store adequate and appropriate classroom materials and supplies Make required home visits (2) to the parents or guardians of children assigned to classroom and complete required reports. Assess and evaluate assigned Teacher Assistant not less than annually in writing and submit to the Center Coordinator/Lead Teacher Promotes parent and community volunteers and actively seeks In-Kind donations. Ensures proper documentation of services are accurate and submitted in a timely manner. Respond appropriately to crisis or emergency situations that may occur. Duties and Responsibilities: * Attend all meetings and training sessions as scheduled and arrive promptly for all tutoring sessions and study group sessions. * Adhere to all tutoring guidelines and best practices for ethical tutoring and academic integrity. * Maintain clear records of each session using LibCal and LibRerference, including but not limited to weekly schedule, documenting each tutoring session, and providing follow-up information to the Director of Learning Support. * Monitor SpringShare Chat during shifts. * Assist students as they develop study skills, problem-solving skills, and self-editing skills. * Preparing for tutoring sessions by reviewing course related information. * Consult with a tutee's instructors and/or advisor for advice, guidance, and direction in Peer Tutoring support for students. * Conduct in-person or online tutoring sessions as scheduled. * Conduct at least one in-person study group lasting one hour each week to be scheduled during the time the Learning Commons is open. * Inform and/or consult with the Director of Learning Support if problems are encountered, or the need arises for assistance relating to a specific tutoring situation. * Work cooperatively with Learning Support Peer Tutor staff to deliver a cohesive tutoring program and to respond in a professional manner to diverse student needs. * Submit unofficial transcripts and self-evaluation to the Director of Learning Support at the end of each semester as part of your semester evaluation. * Complete Self-evaluation with the Director of Learning Support at the end of each year or during your last semester with Learning Support.
