An experienced executive with a background in finance, sales, and operations across multiple industries, Larry Muller began his career at Macy's New York after graduating from Stony Brook University. He spent four years with the company, during which time he participated in its executive training program and rose to the position of assistant buyer. From 1982 to 1989, Larry Muller worked as a sales executive with API/Wren Distributors, selling Sharp electronics and Commodore computers to prominent New York-based retailers. Drawing upon his experience in electronics sales with API/Wren, Larry Muller founded the video game distribution company Alliance Distributors in 1989. The company distributed video games from dozens of publishers, including Nintendo, Microsoft X-Box, Konami, and Sony Playstation; it achieved $1 million in sales revenue in its first year of operation and peaked at $25 million in 1997. In his efforts to drive sales, Mr. Muller founded the Video Game Alliance with other dealers for shared advertising purposes. From 1997 to 2002, Larry Muller expanded upon his executive experience in the technology sector through his role as chief operating officer of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. Two years later, he purchased a Dunkin Donuts franchise on Long Island, New York, and over the course of the next decade, purchased an additional 13 stores. He also built 12 stores during this time. In 2014, Larry Muller joined the digital-first creative agency Code and Theory. Responsible for overseeing day-to-day finance and business operations for the international company with multiple offices in the US, UK, and the Philippines, Larry Muller facilitated the acquisitions of Mediacurrent, a top Drupal developer; and Rhythm, a digital marketing agency. He was appointed chief operating officer of the company in August 2018. Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Muller’s main hobby is playing basketball through Ultimate Hoops, a competitive recreational league.
