Wendy serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the Colorado Technology Association. Prior to joining the Association, Wendy led a business transformation to enable aggressive growth as Director of Services & Marketing at The Synergy Company, a manufacturer of organic dietary supplements and leader in sustainable business practices in Moab, UT. Before that, she worked for Sun Microsystems for 11 years, predominantly as Director of Business Operations. During her time at Sun, she excelled at identifying the critical path and gaining commitment from diverse constituents across organizational boundaries to connect teams, drive accountability and achieve results. During her time at Sun, she was a creative and perceptive business strategist displaying an exceptional ability to manage to outcomes and increase business value from people, process and technology assets in a variety of complex environments. Earlier in her career, Wendy directed the implementation of a new Oracle application as Director of IT for the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce. She also conducted demand-side management analysis and contributed to the development of proposals and programs focused on electric energy efficiency through load management as an Economist at NEOS Corp. While pursuing graduate studies in Washington, DC, she managed all support staff at McKinsey & Company and assisted with the launch of the McKinsey Global Institute. Wendy holds an M.A. in Economics from The American University and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Colorado Boulder. She lives in Colorado with her three sons and enjoys all manner of outdoor activities from skiing, hiking, and kayaking to running, bicycling, and motorcycling.
