ProSidian Seeks a Construction Field Superintendent(Rigging Experience) - Construction (CO103) (Procurement Services / Building 707-9B Rm11 / Aiken, SC 29859 | MID LEVEL - HR) to support an engagement for a liquid waste contractor (Savannah River Remediation [SRR]) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy.
Construction Field Superintendent(Rigging Experience) - Construction (CO103) Candidates shall work to support requirements for RFQ200246R -Construction Field Superintendent(Rigging Experience) (Construction Services).
Safety is a primary responsibility in each job performed. Obtain safety training, obey safety rules, and make safety an integral part of each task. Take the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or will create an unsafe condition.
Construction Specific Responsibilities:
- Assists Field Managers in directing the actual construction of multiple capital projects to their overall successful completion and DOE satisfaction.
- Serves as a member of the project team and design review board for each project from inception to closeout and ensures the highest quality, most economical, timely, and practical design and construction product possible.
- Coordinates construction outage schedules, cost controls, priorities, and planning with project / construction management and plant schedulers to achieve successful project implementation.
- Resolves quality control and quality assurance issues and recommends corrective action if necessary.
- Coordinates with design / construction engineering for scheduling of design outputs and provides design with necessary input to resolve design changes and improve constructability.
- Promotes increased productivity and safe work practices with the intent of maximizing use of resources and eliminating injuries.
- Fosters a "team concept" when interfacing with operations, DOE, other departments and divisions and attend scheduled and unscheduled meetings, provide reports, status on projects and identify, address and resolve problems.
- Reviews and approves job plans, permits, material requisitions for capital expenditures, schedules/schedule changes and miscellaneous other documents ensuring accuracy, practicality, economics, and impact on other projects.
- Manages a staff of personnel assigned to capital projects and maintenance orders and attending to their development, training, evaluations, career progression and problems.
- Identifies and acts on engineering and material restraints to critical jobs through meetings, discussions, reports and verifies that proper tools are in place to clear restraints.

An Assistant Superintendent has the knowledge, skills, and experience to assist with the management of the day-to-day field operations of all aspects of multifamily construction projects. The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for the management of the subcontractors' work to complete a project in a timely, cost-effective manner, and for maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.
Responsibilities:
· In coordination with the Project Superintendent, become proficient with the creation and maintenance of job schedule that defines the critical path and shows completion of the project according to contract completion dates and building turnover sequence.
· Prepare, submit, and distribute RFIs (Requests for Information) as needed.
· Assist in documenting project changes, maintaining accurate records, redline updates, and correspondence.
· Ensure all work adheres to OSHA regulations and safety standards.
· Assist the Superintendent with RFI reports, QA/QC documentation, and construction field operations

Essential Functions
Accomplishes assigned market builds safely, on time & within budget.
Manages the scheduling and coordination of the maintenance, repair, and upgrade of OSP facilities and the surrounding communities including rehab work, customer & community concern responses, OSP generator routines, and emergency call-outs.

It encompasses parts of Aiken, Barnwell and Allendale counties and is bordered on the west by the Savannah River and Georgia. SRS is close to several cities, including Augusta, Georgia and Columbia, South Carolina. It is also within a few hours of Atlanta, Savannah, Charleston, Greenville and Charlotte.
